Extremely insightful. Don't know if you follow Gone with the Wynn's, But their new HH was plagued with stray current. The corrosion acceleration was hard to believe. HH engineers ultimately figured out it was one of the pumps not properly installed but installed per engineering drawings.
Not a professional rigger. We use a Camp Goblin fall arrest device on a second static climbing line pulled to the top before ascending. This does need a topping lift / spare halyard. It means the person below only has one line to manage, the person ascending has a backup in the event the winch pawls fails, or line comes off the winch, operator screws up etc. We used to use a Grigri2, but find the Camp device easier, esp with their lanyard. It just "hangs" there unless needed. Best to use it with a climbing rope to get good action. It's not in this drill video as we were going for a speed demo with a mate. th-cam.com/video/cO8awFaUOyM/w-d-xo.html

Whatever you find works for you and you can handle safely! Sounds like a nice setup.
What swivel do you recommend at the top of the halyard?
Which stainless polish brand do you prefer?
We will post a link for you shortly.
Here is the stainless we like: amzn.to/47GFpYT
