I believe this is one of the saddest scenes in the game. Zelos is such a pitiable character, I feel so bad for him! I DO like Kratos better than him, but not enough to want to kill Zelos. It rips my heart out everytime I do.
@qarlox55 In Flanoir, in the resting part where people knock on Lloyd's door, if you don't talk with someone, you will end talking with Kratos. He'll tell you the story about your mother and stuff. Then you fight Zelos and Kratos joins your team. If you talk with someone, you don't fight Zelos, but Kratos won't be in your team.
thank you for showing the lead before the battle. I always wanted to see it the other way. Its really apparent that the ending is based off of whether you tell Zelos you trust him or not. But its also very similar to the other ending except Zelos isn't joking this time. Thanks dude
Meh, I wish Zelos could use judgement in the gamecube version. He's my fav character, but for one playthrough I selected Kratos at Flanoir just to see the alternate scenes...but I definitely prefer for him to not die, he's funny :P also, to get Raine and Genis to use prism star you have to set the unison attack so that Raine uses ray, Genis uses explosion, tidal wave, cyclone, indignation, or ground dasher. It doesn't matter what the other characters do.
question..if u end up fighting Zelos, does he only have the abilities that he learned throughout the game? or does he even get the spells and abilities you didnt get him? im almost to this part im not sure

I prefer this route. I always found Zelos annoying, but he still doesn't deserve a death like this.
In spite of what he's done, I feel terrible for Zelos and having to fight him

the real reason he confronted the party was to get killed and making seles the chosen thus freeing her from the abbey
I got Kratos in the Flanoir scene, thus leading to this battle and his death.
I always liked Kratos more, so Zelos had to die o-o
Also so either way he Zelos wins! he gets what he wants in the end live or die.

@Katanawa55 if you fight zelos, you can't control him later in the game cause you will have kill him ..
Any one of Genis's 5 lvl 3 elemental T-side techs and Raine's Ray
Ray + Explosion, Cyclone, Ground Dasher, Indignation, or Tidal Wave
