From your chat window just click and hold your left mouse button on the chat tab you want to move and drag it where ever you want on screen, then click the little cog icon (chat settings) and turn the transparency up.

When ani cancelling I tend to Hold F (Lightning Flash) rather than press it and just tap my LB (Flicker) just after lightning flash hits.
