It’s a bit of automotive history now, and they are as fun to drive as they look. This is one of six Saab's I own:
1991 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible
1994 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible
1997 Saab 9000 Aero
2001 Saab 9-5
2002 Saab 9-5 Aero
2003 Saab 9-5 Wagon
SAABs are Unique.
I drove my 93 Aero convertible from UK through the French Alps and down to Monte Carlo.
Somehow these cars make you feel really special.
My opinion 89-94 were the best years for this model, I am a dealer and owed a dozen or more of them. These were always better and more fun to drive with 5 speed manual. The 3 speed automatic makes the engine rev higher and work harder at highway speeds.
Just pretty....So pretty sitting in front of that Cessna 210. This car NEVER looses its appeal...I dont know how SAAB did it but the shape of the 900 just keeps going. A true timeless classic. Park it next to a modern BMW and it still looks fantastic by comparison!!
I was just thinking that same thing earlier today. Time has a peculiar way of making some things obsolescent. But time has been sympathetic to the classic 900 convertible. I was wondering if it was just me, or do the lines, flow and distinctiveness of the car seem to improve as the years (and fewer of them on the road) go by. Thanks for the note!
That's a beautiful car. I bought a 2001 9-3 SE convertible and it's a beauty. A little engine work and I'll be as good as new.
I believe I saw your car at the local shop when taking my blue ‘92 vert in for some TLC.
She’s a beaut.
Good to see these good cars on the road and well taken care of.
If it was Central Auto Body just off Barbur, that was the car!
Realy..you are very..lucky..man..
You..drive..these..legends...
I know I am. There is not a day that I am not behind the wheel that I do not appreciate SOME aspect of the Saab way.
Very clean Saab 900
Beautiful example!
worth its weight in gold
Well...16 ounces in a pound X 3,150 pounds = 50,400 ounces. At gold spot price of 1,906.59 per ounce, the car would be worth: $96,092,136...let me think about it...
Great video thanks for sharing 😍😍😍
Thanks, guys! The car still runs like it came off the assembly line.
Clean. Your front wheels need to be switched with each other, as the aero wheels are backwards on the front now. I am surprised it has a tan top. I thought they were black from the factory. Sweet car....
Great catch. Now done.
im i love
You have my dream car
Martin, there isn't a time I drive it that someone doesn't stop me to say the same thing. It is such a joy to drive. It sits in the garage in winter. The paint has not seen a raindrop in three years. Thanks for the note.
I am interested in how many of MJ 1994 convertibles where build .. coulld not be many of them.
And i always wondered what cheap and less quality the dashbord was and never redone over 15 years of production ..
👍
Looks really nice! Just replace that ugly exhaust with a original one and it will be perfect.
Not Ruby Red :)
Indeed. Imola. The Next Generation 900's got Imola in 1994; and as this was part of the last run of OG900's earlier in the year it got the NG paint. Wow. Good catch.
