Thank you for updating the title test with "Sorry Sold". It's so irritating when people list a car for sale, then never bother to inform viewers that the car is no longer available. Kudos to you for doing that!
Back in the late 70's I bought a 49 Cad 62 series with original light blue/green paint, needing new paint, spent 3 years restoring it, sent the rear fender spears out to be rechromed, but they came back warped from buffing and they were to deformed to straighten !! Never got another set. This one is BEAUTIFUL, THANKS for sharing
Wow! This brings back memories. My dad had one when I was a teen and it was a everything a Caddy was famous for - an elegant head turner and chick magnet! No AC of course and in cold weather the windows would fog up quickly when my girlfriend and I were at the drive-in movie. It had a good AM radio, one speaker and vacuum tubes which included one that would produce a 60 cycle hum as it converted DC to AC. Only one battery though so I had to be careful not to run it down. I sure miss those days. It was an age of innocence for the country, when the worst that happened was a playground fight and too much liquor on a Saturday night.
Just magnificent. Looks better than brand new if that's possible, minor scuffs notwithstanding. The styling is the high water mark for American car industry - unbeatable.
Similar to F C Burgner’s comment, this brought me back to my childhood, my dad had a 1952 which is similar to this one. I remember the windshield wipers were run by vacuum and if you gave it the gas they would slow down. This car is magnificent and must be a pleasure to drive. Thank you for a great well done video. 👍🏻
That’s when cars were cars not the pieces of plastic and fake metal of today. Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages this is a real car. Whoever had the car took very good care of it. Hope the new owner gets to enjoy it for a long time. Thanks for the great video.
I'd like to have a living room big enough that I could just keep this on display as art. It's just too good for a garage.

I'm not much of a GM guy, but my goodness this car is beautiful! Truly great American craftsmanship. I can only imagine how proud the original owner must have been when he bought this car 70 years ago.
This is pure beauty. Everyone who gets into classic cars...looks at the 1930's cars ..like rolls deusenburg packard etc. and rightly so...but then it goes to the great 1950's cars..again fantastic..but take a minute to look at these 1940's cars...and again the Cadillac..wow..this is stunning. Just look at those rear fenders..this looks like a Harley Earl design?
Beautiful car. I have memories of cleaning the inside of the back window on the family's '60 Chevy, that sloped like that. One had to almost be a contortionist to clean that and when finished always to find a big smudge on the glass. :)
Tyler Hoover from Hoovie's Garage just bought a resto-mod version of this exact same car with a Cadillac 500 cc motor from the 70's that looks and runs great. These cars are so beautiful with that fast back look.
OMG - I am not a car person but this Cadillac is so beautiful I had to watch. It must have been fun to be a designer back in this time, today's cars are so bland.
Using the personal pronoun "HER" when talking about this Cadillac is so appropriate. It was over the top when they made it in 1949, and even more so today and it's the highest quality throughout.
Don't apologize cuz its too long; if anything, it was too short. You forgot to pop the trunk and a view from the back seat looking forward would be cool to. Thanks!!
No way the glass is original. My 58 CADILLAC, my parents bought in 1960 , has all the original glass. Every piece has delamination issues all around the edges of the glass. It's just the edges. So it's not an issue, but it does prove it's the original glass, 62 years old. Lifelong southern California car, I'm still driving it. Original engine and transmission, I was1 year old when they bought it.
They don't stop for stop signs there? It must have something to do with the heat & sunshine & palm trees because here in Floriduhhh we have the same issues!!! ;-)
It would be nice to know the original MSRP of the vehicles you feature in your videos, And would like to see video of the vehicle in motion taken from a distance by someone in another vehicle.
Because 1949 turned into 1950, 1950 turned into 1951 etc etc. It would have been odd to see it appear as the new Cadillac even by 1952 when major redesigns happened every 3 years in those days. It's called manufactured obsolescence, and it perpetuated selling to the consumer who had been well-conditioned to want the "new".
one of the most beautiful models ever built!

Beautiful! When in law school back in the mid seventies, I drove a ‘57 Fleetwood. Pistons the size of coffee cans and mpg which never got over ten!
Damn what a beautiful 49 series 62
sedanette ! This model is one of the
most elegant designs by Cadillac.
Certainly the " Standard of the World " !
Just magnificent. Looks better than brand new if that's possible, minor scuffs notwithstanding. The styling is the high water mark for American car industry - unbeatable.
What a beautiful Cadillac. Wish it was in my garage. I love it.
How could they keep a car in such a great shape.Cadillac have always been at the edge..Thank you for this video.

One of the few cars that got it right the first time, absolutely gorgeous. That was America long time Go in a galaxy far far away.

Beautiful Caddy, these old cars look way better then cars made today
I'd like to have a living room big enough that I could just keep this on display as art.

Sweet!!!
My dad's first car was a 49 Buick Roadmaster. He ordered it and had to wait 2 years after the war to get it.
Beautiful car. Looks brand new.

A stunning ride. A time capsule at it's best.
In my view one of the best looking American cars ever to have hit the road.
No plastic here !

Thanks for the video, beautiful car.
Amazingly beautiful automobile. The exhaust sound 15:50 is such a turn on!!
Wow, what a beauty.
Birds seem to be impressed, judging from the chatter in the background...
Tyler Hoover from Hoovie's Garage just bought a resto-mod version of this exact same car with a Cadillac 500 cc motor from the 70's that looks and runs great. These cars are so beautiful with that fast back look.
Ain’t gonna lie new cars r nice n all but it’s always equally nice to go back to the classics
That's one beautiful old car. Takes me back when I was a boy.
The fast back coupe style design...wow! The dark green is what us Brits would call British racing green.
In a time when cars were built, truly amazing 😉
They were a soulles product back then as they are now. It's just a product. Last time I checked cars are still being built.
It’s the most original design encounter by Cadillacs
That is a beauty! Great color combination.
Very nice looking classic car. thanks allot for all of you.
OMG - I am not a car person but this Cadillac is so beautiful I had to watch. It must have been fun to be a designer back in this time, today's cars are so bland.
Work of pure art worth a mint
Absolutely Stunning best Wishes from across the Pond
Love, love, LOVE this car!
Rear view is gorgeous!
From bow to stern from top to tire its really beautiful car
Some of those automobile are priceless! Can't even touch them
Unless U Buy It First. Good Luck
With Your Purchase !!

Love those three piece rear windows,49 Mercury had it also.
No obvious squeaks and rattles. Very impressive
No cars today have that kind of style.
Don't apologize cuz its too long; if anything, it was too short. You forgot to pop the trunk and a view from the back seat looking forward would be cool to. Thanks!!
Love that caddy, just like the 47 grill more, mr. Pickee I guess..
It's beautiful. Marvelous.
I want a full size Electric replica.
What a treasure.
Back in the day, these cars were called Coupe pronounced (cou-pay) instead of just "coop", as is the pronunciation used today.
Fantastic Condition !
I want one. But resto mod it. Modern engine..brakes..trans...air... digital up the dash..some sound proofing.

Gorgeous automobile
Dad had had a 48 Cadillac in 57 looked like this one.
NICE car also the 48 Cad was the last year of the v-8 flathead, 349cid. 😃
Villa italia you said,of course mafia staff car of Corleone family.Seriously beautiful car.
They kept the fishtail tail lights from 48-56.
Brutal front bumper!
They don't stop for stop signs there? It must have something to do with the heat & sunshine & palm trees because here in Floriduhhh we have the same issues!!! ;-)
You did not do the designer of the car justice, Harley Earl styled the rear fins to resemble the Lockheed P- 38 lightning's tail fins.
FABULOUS!
Lovely design
Such a beauty!
Extremely beautifull
Kudos to the Wax Guy!
Lovely old Caddy...but an unrelated question: Why would anyone chose to live in what is virtually a desert?
BEAUTIFUL CARD HAPPY
Very nice
I’ll take it!!!
Awesome 😎
Wow...
Amazing 👏 🙀
Lassiter Series 69!
did those early cars have safety glass or just regular glass?
I really do wish I had that one, and you didn't...😁
It's gorgeous, but you couldn't park it anywhere.
It would be nice to know the original MSRP of the vehicles you feature in your videos, And would like to see video of the vehicle in motion taken from a distance by someone in another vehicle.
$3,496 us
Some of the chrome trim didn't line up however that's excusable.
Jay Leno brought me here .
do you now way Cad stopped building this car

Even though this is a beauty, Cadillac's were just so large it seems they should have all been 4 doors only.
Absolutely beautiful however, you can't look at it and not notice that the "fins" are forced and in contradiction to the rest of the cars beauty.
Disagree. Absolutely in concert. Subtle and perfectly of era.
Beatiful car
