The Guitarist is my Father! I just found this… trying to contain myself. Michael Rogers, born 7/30/1947… He had to be between 15-17 here… I lost my Beautiful Father in 2012, He met my Mom in 1967 and married Her in 1968.. He never sang on the road after that but would become one of the founding members of his own Gospel Group from the early 70s through the mid 90s… I’m sorry if I’m being too much, you don’t understand.. it’s like meeting my Dad all over again. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for this Gem… the quality is absolutely amazing.

Appreciate you and your Father and these other fine gentle men and Kendall. It does take a village and the village has to want to do right.

Watched a few times now. The lead singer has the most passionate facial expressions...Yet, I can sense an other worldly serenity to his soul.

One of the greatest gospel quartet to sing. Just listen to that bass Ellis Johnson.

Hi Kendall Kent, what a channel, I love this old gospel, it really spiritually moves me compared to modern gospel, I love this version here of this song, I appreciate all the work uploading and sharing such historical blessings, and including vinyl images or old photos of the artists, really helps connect us to what we are hearing.
I'm going to enjoy listening to so much of you content, this has made my day finding your channel, best regards, may the Lord keep blessings your work 🙏🙏🙏

@@KendallKent your very welcome my friend, not many folk realise the time and effort involved, and not everyone comments, but I had say my thanks as old gospel like this is quite hard to find without this platform, and without yourself sharing it here, we wouldn't otherwise hear these artists, and your keeping their music alive too.
I'll catch you soon in your other videos, I've listened to your own voice and look forward to putting headphones on and enjoying when I get time, awesome voice you have, again keep up the good work 😉👌

I feel like it is such a privilege and a blessing to hear them sing. They built a temple of song with their voices and their spirits, and offered a shelter of hope to this weary world. May God keep them seated on His right hand..thank you, Kendall for sharing all of this. And it is really so wonderfull to see them as well as to hear them. Thank you so much..

Sometimes during a heavy thunderstorm I'm not sure if its thunder or Ellis Johnson singing for the angels. I am sure though that I love him. There is nothing like a person who is a master of his trade. Credit must be given to all of these men who are dressed to kill in their fabulous suits. How in the world did sagging pants and unkempt hair replace these polished looks?

The Guitar Player’s name is Michael Lewis Rogers… He’s My Dad!!! I’m crying so hard I could barely type. He was only a teen here… I lost him to cancer in 2012. I am just now seeing this… I am just… floored right now. I wish he were alive to see this… My God ♥️
