I got my start in the ministry by preaching in poor inner city African American churches.They welcomed me with open arms and gave me the opportunity to preach in their pulpits when I was 19 and 20 years old.In Jesus we are color blind and part of the same Body of Christ.Their type of worship was a blessing to me.Bro.David.

In Christ and in the power of the Cross destroys racism in a believers heart.I started my ministry in poor African American inner city churches when I was 19/20 years old.I was honored by this fellowship and we were colored blind.The blood of Jesus unites us !

In the back, middle, is the talented Jimmy Outler. He took over as lead singer for the Soul Stirrers after Johnny Taylor left for the bright lights. He was killed in a fight in 1967.

That music was beautiful! I didn't know there was Christian Du-Wap. That's 1 of my favourite kinds of music. Is there anymore? There's nothing like the romantic ballads of the 50s-60s. But I can't listen 2 it any more because I never had romance in my life & I never will.There is so much music I can't listen 2 Bcuz so much of my life is already over. It just reminds me of all the things I've done wrong & can't change now. Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. GOD bless you & yours,

Doors really did close in their faces because of the color of their skin and how sad it was that many back then and even now who confess Christ have racism in their hearts. When in Bible College I had a desire to preach.On Sunday I would put on my suit and tie and drive to the inner city to a poor church just to worship and hear the Word.I never asked anyone 'can I preach?" They loved me and accepted me.The pastor would invite to the platform and pulpit to testify and then would ask me to return to preach.It was great !! This had me many times.They treated me with mutual love and respect in Christ.Great memories singing/shouting/preaching
