I completely agree with you. As much as I'd like to pull it and have it in my collection, I would never spend money on it as I'd prefer to put that money towards any of the enchanted cards.
Hey friend! Hope all is well. 100% and that's where my mindset is right now too. It's such an exciting time in the hobby currently that it feels like something that we can circle back around to when the time is right.
I think these are super cool and love the rarity of them. I've never seen one, but find the errors super fun to collect.

I didn’t even know this was a thing. That’s actually pretty cool to have in a collection, something that wasn’t meant to be packaged in the first place. I have a feeling these discard cards won’t be a thing for much longer so I’d say they’ll probably appreciate in value a bit. I want one haha 😅

I did manage to pick up a raw condition bold print discard today for a reasonable price!

i remember seeing you posting this vid initially and didnt take the time to watch. But since I literally just pulled the regular font black discard over the weekend i had to see what was up. Pulled from a blister of inklands that was printed in december. thanks for the info and the vids! guell ill hold onto it and see what happens
also a note i had an enchanted in the same pack, chernabob. im really trying to remember the placing of it, think it took up a rare slot.

I haven’t had the chance to get one of these Discard cards. But it’s kinda funny that I actually want one just for the sake of having it and that’s it 😅

Absolutely and I tend to share that same logic. Maybe something that could be acquired as an extra in a trade or something but its hard to go for something so niche. Especially when its such an exciting time in the hobby.

I pulled a basic non bold white on black one from an inklands pack. I would happily trade it for a sad beast if it’s really worth that much

In this video you said the white discard is out of chapter one but i pulled one pit of chapter two. Reading that ppl pulled black out of chapter 1, 2 and 3 could mean taht the white one should be from a specific printing factory and not from a specific chapter. Just my thoughts.

It's crazy to see such a basic card go for so much just because it's scarce. With a lot of fake cards going about right now, I'd be worried about buying one of these as they would surely be so much easier to fake.
Yes, really good point. Hearing that PSA actually authenticated a fake Enchanted Elsa the other day is really wild. To make something as detailed as that card look real the 'Discard' card would be much easier.

Pulled my second ever enchanted on Friday, a little disappointed as it has some odd print line issues in the top right corner. It was the sorcerers hat. But was a very cool moment as I bought and only opened a single pack. The talk of grading makes me wonder if a printing issue like that would cause the card to get lower grading, I’m assuming it would. It has like ink lines I would describe it as?
Hey there, friend! First of all....BIG CONGRATS to you! I love the sorcerers hat and Ive been looking for it! SO happy for you that you found one! On the print issue side of things, I would say that it can certainly impact the overall grade. If you believe that it is an aggressive printing issue you can apply for an 'error' tag on the grading label. However, PSA and others are typically very strict with that designation. But no matter what, you have a wonderful new card and a great story to go with it! : )
I believe the Discards are more intentional than you think.
The machine makes "errors" which is programmed to sort hundreds of different cards, but cant sort a discard....NOT LIKELY.
The DISCARD is a placeholder for your discards......
Look at the playmat that comes with the Pre-constructed decks.
There is a space for your DECK
and
a space for your DISCARDS.
Just like your Ursula "missprint".
Ravensburger put years into creating Lorcana.
Mistakes are intentional.
I LOVE this take and, honestly, I have my suspicions about it as well. It's not always so easy to shout it from the mountain tops. But between us, I definitely think they have the ability to scrutinize those packs in production to omit the issue.
Next colored Discard should be Amethyst.
