Demar did everything Bulls fans could ask for. Just terribly unlucky that Lonzo's injury kept the team in stasis.
And that the bulls org sucks and couldn't figure out what to do with the roster keeping it the same since the Lonzo injury as they're "trying to figure it out".

@@captaindarling9805 not owner, front office in entirety. And not standing pat for 3 years would have likely helped. Not looking at a 3 month window of success during an easy portion of the schedule as proof of how good your team is despite it being mediocre for the remainder of it's time together would help. Telling the team to shut it down in hopes of bettering your chance at wemby would have helped. Trading vuc rather than giving him a new 20mil/year deal would have helped. Trading Zach before he asked for a trade would have helped. Getting back picks from the team with the most picks when trading Caruso would have helped....
The current bulls are in a tough spot - the Lavine drama is sitting on a powder keg awaiting a match, pat is one more mediocre season from being labeled a bust, giddey performs too well and he becomes a hefty contract we likely can't afford, doesn't perform well and becomes a wasted trade of one of the best two players in the league, anything in the middle and you're left with questions.

He was literally everything you could ask for as a bulls fan! Injuries suck but it’s apart of basketball. Going to rookies jersey retirement, talking to his guys constantly on and off the court. Wishing for nothing but the best for Demar. Truly one of my favorite players from his short time here.

As a Bulls fan I had no clue the depth of character of this man. His mentoring and leadership imo was second to none Ive ever seen. From showing up at teammates events to summer workouts he ALWAYS was with he’s teammates seemingly year round. I grew to appreciate and love his presence on a team that really never got the pieces in the right right orientation to lock in sustained success…I’ll leave my thoughts on what I feel should have been the better direction for another discussion. Debo Just fit seamlessly like he had always been a Bull and I guess thats the biggest compliment a free agent vet could ever hope to get from a fan. So everything this man said was as 100 as 100 can be. He will be missed here in the City but he left all those young mens cups much fuller and mine….Good Journeys my GUY Follow that plan to his/it’s conclusion and know youve made an impact for the good.
Honestly Lonzo was the glue to that team. There was really no replacing his defense, playmaking and shooting once he went down

I respect Demar for his time in Chicago and its not his fault that the Bulls failed. The Bulls failed because they took shortcuts to get back in the playoffs but sacrificed the future.
As a Bulls fan I will always be proud and thankful of way he represented the team. I wish things could've turned out better, but i wish DeMar even better success going forward.

2021 Bulls were really nice.
I remember they were the number 1 seed and Demar was top 5 in the MVP race in his first season and everything went south once Lonzo got hurt :( then injuries just piled up one after the other the Bulls just can't catch a break.

Man people forget how the Bulls really looked in his first season there before Lonzos injury. They were coming and Derozan was litterally an MVP candidate and he was on that tear for a long stretch of games. Lonzo was coming into his own until the unfortunate injury and then they never quite recaptured that magic. Idk if they would have won a chip but they would have contended for sure.
What killed us was injuries and not have the proper team around lavine and demar. If lonzo stayed healthy, if we had a better team around lavine and demar, if we had a better coach then Billy Donavan who could capitalize on the teams strengths but also help work on our weaknesses we could have been a very good playoff team.
Zo getting hurt messed us up. You played well tho. I’ll give him that. I never believed in him. But he played well. Wish him all the best.
I'll miss AC & Demar. They held it down and they were great vets for the team. It's a shame with Zo and other players' injuries.
Hopefully they can figure out a way to send Vucevic & LaVine out, it's time for a new chapter asap.

I was not a fan of Deebo until he signed with Chicago. Despite the lack of a three point shot, bro was still a bucket and a good closer. His play style was not sustainable for the Bulls in the long run tho. Above all that, the youngins like Daley Terry & Patrick Williams looked up to him a lot. He’s a real professional.
