I'm not a toy collector but I am a collector, and I appreciate your videos. You nail that enthusiasm and passion we all have looking for that one piece that will give you that great feeling inside!
As a kid, my siblings and I had most of what you put in the cases. I remember hours of abuse on those toys; they would engage in battles that involved being flung down stairs, slammed in doors, drown in bath tubs, you name it. It's cool seeing that some of those MOTU figures survived that sort of abuse, and brings back such amazing boy memories.
We watch as a family, my 9 yr old always walks around singing “when ya hear that Cha Ching” 😂 which is great, cause it’s better than him singing “I’m feeling creepy!” Lolol
I nearly fainted when I saw the prices you paid for the human stuff. When my 2nd son was 2, he's 40 now, Santa gave him hemans castle battle cat and probably 12 or more action figures. We potty trained him with castle gray skull. My oldest got all star wars stuff that year. He's 42.

I was thinking about ya'lls grandparents' talking to their friends and they ask "what does your grandson & daughter do?" and your grandparents answer, he sells "Orko, Clawful, Merman, Skeletor, Snout Spout, things like that." Their friends would be like "what the heck?" lol On the flip side, think how proud Elliott would be if he told his friends about it. They would say "Cool!"
That Rattlor took me back to 7 years old… I have a few old Masters toys my wife bought a while back, but for some reason that one was a staple when I was a kid. He was my primary baddie in battle. I don’t normally get nostalgic, but that was cool. Thanks for the moment.
I am getting old. I remember playing with most of those. I am sure you have seen it but there is a documentary series on Netflix called "The Toys That Made Us", I believe is the name. About how a lot of these toys from the 80's came to be.

Hey sir, I'm actually going through a similar thing myself. I've started collecting vintage GI Joes from my childhood. Unfortunately I've spent more money than I should have recently, but I've definitely started a huge collection, and I just bought 2 carded figures myself. I had He-Man,Thundercats, MASK, Star Wars, etc. growing up, but GI Joe just brought the memories back more than anything, for me
I feel ya! It’s easy to go crazy with the spending…ya just got to do your best on the deals you make and hope things keep or go up in value. Then it’s kind of like a savings account 😉
7:06 that white porche 911 Transformer was my first ever one. my dad loved 911's so he bought me it. I was born in 82 so a little late into transformers, so I never got a an optimis prime for years.

I think it is a great idea to hone your collection to very specific items. I have a hockey card collection and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to collect within the market as most people do not have the money to collect everything. I finally decided on cards that are from 1980 and earlier, mainly insert sets from the 1970s, and a few complete sets that I find aesthetically pleasing. Values from cards in the 1950s to 1979 are fairly stable as well. Good luck with your collection

Crazy I had all those He-Man toys as a kid & never wouldve thought they would be worth so much. Being as most kids like me ripped the boxes to shreds in the car on the way home from Toys R Us, KayBee Toys or any local big store, I see why they are worth $$ now in the box & mint. I remember when the Master of the Universe figures came out, they were sold out everywhere running up to Christmas. I really wanted He-Man but the only one I could get at the time was Skeletor. Have no clue what happened to it!
Btw I use puck lights in my displays. They color change (if desired), have a lot of settings and are remote controlled. Really easy to install and look great! LED strips can look good too but more room for error with those.
Not feeling good today (toothache and headache) so I drove by more than a dozen yard sales and 2 estate sales today here in Florida. I'm dying inside!!!!
Whenever I see something like this, I am happy for the recipient and wondering if any of those figures used to be mine before adult family members did…what adult family members do.
I should add that the figures and accessories I’ve stored for my son for the past 30 0plus years are from the 1981 to 1987 first run - those were the exact years he was so involved with everything He-ma!!

i remember the christmas I received my MOTU items, I never even heard of He-man , the cartoon hadn't come out yet and my parents bought me Greyskull a bunch of figures and battle cat and man at arms vehicle. i thought it was pretty cool even though I had no idea about it till the cartoon started airing .Thankfully we had the mini comics to kinda fill in what I didnt know just yet at the time.
Hey Froggy, I had all of these figures and my favorite was Faker (blue he-man). I sold all my MUTU 10 years ago for big bucks on Ebay. I still remember watching the very first episode when it came out on Fox Saturday morning cartoons. These were super fun to play with as a kid along with Transformers and GI Joe. I'm 45 man and I think is is interesting that you collect this stuff as a grown man. I think you are younger than me so it is interesting to me that you are into MUTU considering you would have been too young to play with this stuff as a kid.

I still have a panthor with more of the fluff on it than the one you have, but I'm in the UK. I don't think I have the saddle though. definitely for sale once I find it as in the attic somewhere,

Those amazon cases aren't bad. One of my buddies has a bunch of Japanese figures that he keeps in a big Ikea glass case, but I don't think that's as "set" focused as having them lined up in rows like this.
Watching through these videos, I’m just realizing I might be sitting on a gold mine. It’s going to take a while to really see what I have, what condition they are in, and finding prices, but I’m going to have to do it eventually, so I might as well start now.

81-87 is my favorite run! Some of those 86-87 figures are more rare and more valuable. Better look em up!

Anthoney my friend uses resin and paint to make accessories. You might want to try that option if accessories is scarce.
