I don’t speak Tagalog, in fact I am from a completely different culture but I had a chance to hear this song thanks to my Philippine friend in the beginning of what I’ve learned later to be my toughest year.
I revisit this live performance almost at the end of this year to realize this song carried me throughout so many challenges. Another reminder that music is a gift that I feel happy to be able to experience on such a profound level.
Adie’s voice and music arrangements skills are phenomenal and so soothing at the same time. The melodies are so beautifully complex, that even if this song was split in to 3 separate compositions, they would still sound complete and original.
I don’t need to understand the words to appreciate this piece of art 🙏🏼❤️
