Having sat down and driven both too, here are my observations
-4n15 is a generation ahead in terms of refinement over the old 4jj1 and it shows. But of course isuzu enthusiast will say its all about durability 😅.
-cabin space if much better on the mux. But interior trim quality is better on the montero. The pre-bluepower mux has one of the worst interior plastics ive seen in a car.
-suspension wise the mux hits the sweet spot, not to stiff and not too floaty. The montero has a tendency to be floaty at times.
-Both have heavy steering wheels but the mux is a bit heavier.
-infotainment on both are lacking since i think both are from avt.
