It is such a travesty that ho-oh wasn't a supporter. Imagine it flying up and to an ally and using something like sacred fire being like a healing pulse around it. Big missed opprotunity
Goodra. Brawler Goodra is Goddra. Muddy Water is slept on, I swear. Closing distance/securing a KO with Acid Spray gives me an immeasurable amount of euphoria. Doesn't always work, I know. Especially with my lane partner ignoring the natural instinct to flee at low hp. But once you get going you're nigh unstoppable unless enemy team has curse AND Ttar/Zacian.
As a Gardevior main, I just started playing Goodra and she’s so fun! I’m still experimenting with the moveset, but so far Muddy Water and Acid Spray make for an offensive combo. What held items do you recommend?
@@swimmerrr If you're referring to me, you should probably stick with a balance of defensive and offensive. 2:1 ratio of whatever you think she needs more of. (Leftovers or) Resonant Guard to increase her passive and unite move healing. Rapid-fire scarf to get boosted attacks sooner for cooldown reduction. Focus Band or any of the Glasses would work as your third item. Again, depending on which Stat and Role you want Goo to fall under.
If I may make a weird suggestion, razor claw. You have such low cooldown and are also melee, so you get the bonus slow, which helps keep people in range for muddy water
@@williamt2700 I found that recently, don't worry. 😉 I also run it on Trev and Wiggly. I play pretty much all my defenders and supports like all-rounders.
I also think an important way to think about defenders is that they're the ones that claim space, because when challenged they can hold their ground unlike other roles, so they end up defining the shape of the map and how the enemy should attempt their initiations. And this is why they're pivotal at important fights and their positioning needs to be strong, which I think is often a helpful thing for players to learn other than the usual idea of "you're job is to take damage". We've all seen a lot of poorly played defenders that rack up massive amounts of damage simply because they're always throwing themselves at the enemy, as well as poorly played defenders that have barely any damage taken because they're too shy and wont claim space for their team to operate from, so I think this idea of defining and claiming territory can helpfully illuminate just what most defenders should set out to achieve, and that is largely true even with the subtypes (aside from maybe greedent, greedent's weird)
I play every defender in the game and the only thing I disagree with is that Scald Slowbro is an attacker. It fills more of a support control role with its burn and slow, and it can be really annoying for carries to play around, especially once it hits level 11. Other than that, I think the only thing you missed was a couple of movesets, like Spin Pump Stoise and Muddy Water Goodra, although no one really cares about my favorite Goodra moveset, but that's fine I'm fine nobody's crying ;-;
I've been playing Flail Snorlax for some time now and i gotta say, going full attack speed is FAR better than crit, not only is not luck dependant now, the fact it attack fast, and Flail heals you at lvl 11 turns you into a monster that deals damage, but once he lose half of his hp, the sustain he gets it's superb!... Loved the video btw
I personally adore the little subcategory of Defenders including Mammo and Tree (maybe others, lmk if I missed any) where the first stage shitmon is, for some reason, absurdly jacked and stand up to--if not outright duel--evolved and single-stage mons. This can help with the confidence to wear an EXP share, if you are not typically inclined to trust rando laning partners like that
I love using defenders in Unite (praying for some Lapras buffs, especially for perish song). This is such a well-made and informative video. Good stuff
I lowkey like to think of Lappy like a dive tank. Just being on top of backline squishies and CC into Perish/Wirlpool them over and over to distract the opposing supports/casters
I think Lapras needs a bit more attack range. Her moves feel fine, the issue is she can do basically nothing to get herself into position to use them in the AoE ring around her, and cannot poke well otherwise, meaning a smart enemy team just sits back and pokes you out.
I swear I watch all your videos at least twice. Once as background noise and once more because they're just so information dense and useful. You're doing so much to make the community better
Honestly focus band can work even on special attackers. The % health passive is independent of your attack and special attack values, so even if you wont do the damage of attackers or speedsters you will have a constant source of damage. You know, damage by erotion

I personally love playing Tree with exp share(i suck at stacking), curse+pain split is really good for frontlining and taking down carries, pair that with resonant guard and focus band, you can only die if you actually try to die, the only cons of that build is just getting stun locked

Please leave the last hits for your laning partner when using EXP Share. When they KO the pokemon, they get the XP if they KO'd it alone, but you also get the shared portion of xp. When the XP share mon KOs a pokemon, they do not get a bonus to the XP they receive, not only that, but they also will take an XP lead over their lane partner, which prevents them from getting the additional XP over time.
The most recent change was that as long as the one wearing exp share is close enough to an ally when either of you defeat a wild pokemon, the wearer gets 30% of the exp gain while the ally gets 100% of the exp regardless of who gets the final hit, so the only reason to let them get last hit is if they wanna stack
Nice video but its difficult because there is only one game play which show how slowbro game is played correctly And not other defender pokemon With lighting speed of talking I just dont get time to process it or Store in brain memory Which makes it annoying So can you please change how you present information With some editing and intervals or bridges before switching sub topic and make your words bold + clear, dont just mix everything, dont make every word sound/feel monotonous (not actually monotonous i mean every word is told in such way that it not important ) Ik not hating Im putting time because i really want you to grow and get better Im sure thrre will be more potentially viewer or subscribers who will love those changes ❤❤
