The job might be a cool and decent job, but there are some jobs with bonuses that can't keep people because so many people in those jobs get out of them. Some of those jobs might not be able to keep people because they are competitive jobs with good civilian translation. Other jobs can't keep people because they suck very, very badly. Great video!!! For those planning on going or in the process ( speaking from active duty side) Please do your research before anything. Meaning research if you wanna go active reserves and or national guard. I know alot of people that didn’t even know they had other options. 2. Ask your recruiter questions!!!! There’s no such thing as a stupid question. Your recruiter has probably heard it all ask he or she everything that comes to your mind! 3. If they don’t have the MOS you want do NOT sign that contract just wait until that MOS come available!! 4. TRUST THE PROCESS!! If you have law violations know it will take some time to get the waivers etc approved so be patient and be positive!!! 5. Take it one step at a time. The army isn’t going anywhere.
I saw my recruiter for the first time Thursday. I’m 27 and got some work to do, already got my fingerprints just need some more documents and to work on my weight. I’m determined and goal oriented now more than I ever have been in my life.
You’re going to get it. As long as it isn’t anything related to serious felonies like robbery or assault. Anything that may be too extreme. I had to get like three moral waivers and one of them took months (hopefully it’s much faster for you) only because one of the charges on my record i never went to court for so it was hard to get the documentation from the District Attorney that says i was never charged which was the reason that waiver kept getting pushed back. Eventually someone from the DA came around and gave my recruiters the info they needed. I had to even speak to a captain on video call and explain how I’ve changed since then and why I want to join. I had to wait like an additional month from there, and then i got to swear in. Don’t get discouraged however the army needs people to serve our country. Just stay out of further trouble and you’ll be good.
I am going to talk to my recruiter this week. I need something new for myself and my daughter. Being a single father, I’m definitely going to make a change for her.

Not necessarily. Just be truthful when you take the physical exam. Another thing that might happen is medical will ask the Army for a waiver. Once it's approved, you are able to enlist. Only the doctor at MEPS can make that decision. It depends how severe it was.
