      I was just gonna say this! Yes the live version on his greatest hit compilation is next level....puts the studio version to shame. It’s a whole other experience, but it’s good he listened to the more melodic clean studio version first so he can really appreciate the epic live version next.

    This takes me back in the day when my mom was going to school full time and taking care of two girls full time.
    I remember her putting us to bed and she is in her room and you hear the clicking of the keys to her typewriter and Marvin Gaye ALWAYS playing. The best memories I will hold in my heart forever! My momma raised me right on music! I MISS HER!

    You need to lay back, relax and listen to the entire Album. Every song is fire! Barry Gordy was very against Marvin doing/releasing this. He finally relented and the rest is history! One of the best Albums Motown EVER released.

    DeBarge - I like it, Time will reveal, all this love, a dream, love me in a special way, stay with me, Rhythm of the Night - I would do I Like It first; They were inspired by Marvin Gaye particularly El Debarge who was the lead singer and his brother who was a solo artist - Chico DebArge; Chico actually did a cover of Troubled Man by Marvin Gaye
    Marvin Gaye and the rest of the Motown artists did a special in 1983 for Motown's 25th anniversary (the one where Michael did the moonwalk for the first time on stage) but then he was shot and killed by his father a year or so after it aired - I think it was April 1st that he died
