I grew up with 70's and 80'music and Teena Marie is my favorite female singer of all-time. She was a 100% R&B singer with really only one cross-over hit, "Lover Girl". Her funk tune Square Biz is iconic and "If I were a Bell" is one of my favorite slow songs from her. Teena appeared on Soul Train 6 or 7 times, being the only white artist to appear more than once.
