First of all, congrats for the podcast Dennis, its amazing...Im a big fan of Bodybuilding and specially from the 90's thats where you guys were actually Heroes at the fans eyes....nowadays find hard to follow the sport that I love, and not to take as an offence pease but rather as a scream for help for the sport sake, I really think that the reason for the problem may be social media but the main problem is the athletes...1st- Its evident that the lack of shape comparing now to the 90's mainly because they rely mostly on "prep" (drugs) rather then the hard work and the result is that they are just as big but not even close on conditioning, muscle maturity and hardness....steroids are part of the sport as always have been but theres other two important parts neglected today ...Hard work at the gym and at the table(diet)....2nd- Ita has always been a Sport of Wolves, athletes of tghis amazing sport have always been lone wolves doing their shit to be the best they can and beat each other up on stage, however outside they were a group united and strong...nowadays theres none competing on the pro shows anymore because all of them are actually cheeps ...following each other tails and competing only on the same events and all want to be Mr Olympia without effort and going down the road!!!! Guys ....competing at Arnold Classic and at the Olympia is not the "only thing out there"....ALL PRO SHOWS ARE RELEVANT AND RESPECTED EVENTS THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU PROUD OF JUST COMPETING LET ALONE WINING ......So as at my eyes turning Pro is completely irrelevant nowadays because apparently everybody is turning Pro now ..left right and centre....However until you compete on a good amount of Pro shows...and not saying wining ...COMPETE.... just compete....until you compete on a ggod amount of pro shows your names are irrelevant for the bodybuilding history....no matter what shit you write on your social media status....so go out there and compete and continue to fuel this great sport and BECOME REAL PRO BODYBUILDERS RATHER THAN PRO INSTAGRAM BODYBUILDERS that is at my eyes what NEW WAVE PROs are

I’ve competed in bodybuilding I’ve been a NPC Judge and a NPC Promoter. Here’s my take on when someone tells me they are a bodybuilder. I say if you have never stepped on stage and competed you’re not a bodybuilder you haven’t earned that title. So until you go through all the contest prep and step on stage your just a weight lifter. What’s your thoughts ?
Derek legs get really big during off-season. On stage the quads sweep is weak.. but it's not like he doesn't have legs.. he's got the best shot at winning the O this year
With another year this last year, I’m sure they’ll be a bit bigger on stage and progressively continue to get bigger and better through the years. He’s only30 and when that muscle maturity hits and sticks, boy is going to be even more solid
Quad sweep is attachment not development ,🐓🍭. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lee Haney, Dorian Yates no quad sweep. Men aren't supposed to built like women soy boy.

Arnold at his biggest was close to 250. Derek is 258ish. Arnold is 8 inches taller. If you’re an open bodybuilder and 5’6” or taller you need to be at least 270. It should go back to under/over 6 feet tall.
I flew out to the universe championships that week and it was a double week shooting because of the Fourth of July was coming when Dennis text me and I answered back what’s up but he didn’t elaborate on what he wanted and you know how when you go to competitions there is team no sleep
From what I see, Derek’s quad sweep is still a weakness. Guess we will see at the Olympia after he diets down. That is why he rides the horse. Samson and new guys like Carlos have full round legs. I think judges and fans want Derek to win but I don’t see him as a lock for the title
Derek is a great bodybuilding but Dennis and Chris over did the love bombing ffs :-) His quads and calves still lack size in comparison to his upper body which is superb. His huge adductors actually work against him IMO

I went to Palm Springs high went to my first show 1983 did my first show 1985 , went to on to do 90 plus shows 😅played the drums in school, graduated at 16 years old 4 th in state in wrestling that year went straight to college on a scholarship , should I go on ? 😅😂
Bodybuilding is boring now.. One class.. judge the posing..add more mandatorys and cap the weight ..ie lift the classic restriction by 30lbs.. one mr olympia division only. Bring back the art.
I don't agree with Derek's mindset.. not considering the competition.. only focusing on himself.. the best athletes, the best competitors, even generals planning war.. all have a common mentality to win and that's understanding the competition and exploiting there weaknesses and strengths.
