At the REQUEST of the Owners I have had to REMOVE Two BEAUTIFUL Hedges

- I came to remove two hedges, one of which is a Laurel about 10m long and the other a Thuja about 4m long. I don't know what the reason for this decision was, but it was the house owners' wish, maybe they wanted to change something, so I didn't go into details, but I had to inspect the hedges for bird nests and then I got to work. The hedge was not very overgrown but I had to work hard to pull them out, and it was very hot, which made it very difficult. I used my shovel which should have easily cut the roots of the bushes, but it was not enough and so I used a pickaxe, which was sometimes more effective!
Sometimes I used my Stihl MSA 161T cordless chainsaw to cut down thick branches that were in my way. The last bush was much more difficult because there was an old tree stump nearby and its roots were in the way.
Having ripped out the first hedge, I started on the second. First I removed the stones that served as a boundary and then cut off one side with a chainsaw so I could dig out the roots. Behind the hedge was a neighbor's wooden fence and I had to be more careful not to break it, although in some places branches had sprouted inwards, but all was avoided. As the job was coming to an end it started to rain, which gradually got heavier and I had to finish the job quicker. Then I loaded everything into the trailer and surprisingly everything fit, but I had to pull down all the straps for insurance.
This job took me 5 hours and one full trailer!
It amazes me how strong you are. You uprooted all of those hedges and as if that wasn't enough, you did it in 5 hours?????? WOW!!! Then more work on the rest of the yard and the remaining hedges. I've not seen anyone else on FB do this kind of labor. This is the reason your channel fascinates me. You do so much and it always turns out beautifully. You're the best

I have the same thought as another commenter and want to also say that I can't believe how strong you are! What you do is so incredibly demanding, I've said before you're so relentless. I love how you work, you're so methodical and organised and the way you tidy up is so satisfying to watch. You have inspired me so much but I think I've overworked in my own garden this week as I had a week's holiday off work😂... I'm aching in every limb and joint!! 😳I just don't know how you do so much hard work. Respect to you and your professionalism. 💪👍

That was so brutal to watch you uproot those evergreens by yourself. All those who watched you do that know that you are definitely not afraid of hard work. Love your channel and glad to see you got it finished before the rain. It always rains where you are at. I’m sure it was refreshing this time.

WOW! This went from a small garden to almost spacious!! I understand that taking out grown hedges would seem awful, but the space is now breathable!! Before it felt so constrictive.

Regardless of how you feel about this, great job doing it. 5 hours! No wonder they didn't want to do it themselves. I'm in 2 minds about it. Yes they're losing some beautiful "free" noise blocking privacy and greenery, but at the same time I can imagine what it takes to have to constantly maintain it over the years.
They are, perhaps they are tired of doing the pruning or hiring a gardener or are planning some changes to their yard. Thank you!

A brilliant job in so little time. They were beautifully kept hedges but, far too much for such a small garden. Made it looked closed in with tall hedging. Now it looks more spacious.

You're definitely old school with your work ethics, really really nice to see and feel your pain, we've done a few in our time as well, all manual, and although you make it look easy we know it absolutely isn't, it isn't even as hard as you think, it's harder !!! I have the scars, sweat, strain and pain to prove it. As always, great video, great work, and well deserved payment at the end of it I sincerely hope.
That's right, it wasn't really easy to do especially with the first hedge as the roots were long and deep, but the Thuja had much smaller roots.

I know that I've said this before, but you are definitely the hardest worker on all of TH-cam!! Your strength is inhuman! I also worry about you hurting you back on these jobs. I've suffered from back pain for almost 50 years due to having to lift heavy objects. Protect your back at all times. Please be careful. The final result was beautiful. I think they maybe wanted more usable space back there. It looks twice as big now. Somewhere in the video I noticed a soccer goal. Maybe they have a child who plays back there. Either way, it looks wonderful. Great job!!

You make backbreaking work look so easy. I know it was hard work on your part. The plants were healthy and were quite established. Amazing! Do be mindful to make sure you don't pull a muscle or hurt your back when tugging at roots that refuse to budge.

I'm not sure of the reasoning of the homeowner as I'd enjoy the privacy that hedge gave them. Maybe they're going to put up a fence? Or they want to make their back yard wider. (front yard?) Who knows. As long as they pay, that's what matters! lol Great Job!

Indeed you're a fast worker. Had seen so much other channels on yard cleaning but just riding on their lawn mower, much earlier didn't even sweep the cut branches. But you're a conscientiius worker, very thorough in cleaning and onky twice I saw you with a companion. Though don't overdo yourself, too much tiredness is an enemy of the heart. Better have several tshirts to change into dry one so you wouldn't catch pneumonia from wet back with perspiration. In our country, construction wirkers put a small, longer than a face towel at back so doesn't easily got damp with perspiration (tropical country). Hope your wife gives you well-deserved massage after warm bath to relax your shoukders, arms that are tired and sore muscles. And also keep drinking water, you need hydration so kidneys will remain healthy because you perspire and muscles are so worked up. Hope you do stretching exercises on arms and legs before facing work. Take care.
Looks like a nice day - for some hard labouring... the first plants you removed would easily be transplantable to another place - you left enough roots on them to do so...
