- All right, have I got a good one for you today folks. Top to bottom, start to finish, before and after, I do the lot on this one. In all honestly, I probably moved over 2 tones out of this one (there were so many bricks). Believe it or not, this one was reasonably fun to do, albeit very hard. I get a great sense of accomplishment when I make something look nice again, and I know for sure the owner was truly thankful.

Q: Where are you located?
A: I am from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 5 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: Mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I would say it's because Australia had a temperate to tropical climate, and therefore it doesn't matter that much if they are outdoors. To me, though, it seems a bit inefficient to have them outside in Tasmania with a temperate climate (coldish for 3 - 4 months per year). But that is industry standard down here 🤷♂️
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering I always take away the green waste.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it, as my shed is too small.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on on to the properties.
4. I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k AUD on a stander, but it would be nice to have one!
5. I will get one as soon as my transport and storage problems are solved.
Q: What types of ladders do you use?
A: The large one is a Gorilla Adjustable Platform 150kg and the small one is a Gorilla Mighty 19. They are both adjustable.
Q: Who/what is Jim's Mowing?
A: Jim's Mowing is a franchise business. The Jim's Group is the biggest home services franchise in Australia.
Q: Why do you have 2 channels that seem to be the same?

Aw, George! You almost had me in tears with this one. When you started down the drive or alley next to the house, I thought there wasn’t much to it. Even when you got to the gate and panned around, I thought there was just some “stuff” and some trash, maybe some stones and bricks, but not too much overgrowth. It looked like just a bit around the edges. First looks can certainly be deceiving!
The sheer amount of debris and materials that came out of there was astonishing! And there was far more vegetation in the back than it appeared at first. But absolutely nothing daunts you. You just start in and keep moving until it’s all done. I know some of that is editing, but for you to accomplish the amount you do, it’s obvious that it’s exactly how you work. No hesitation, just decisive action.
Speaking of editing, you do a fantastic job putting all your videos together for us and the music is always perfect suited to the job. You are meticulous in everything you do, it seems.
The homeowner seemed like a sweet person who did her best for as long as she could, but the amount of the garden area she was able to maintain had been steady shrinking to the center for some time. It brought tears to my eyes to watch you restore the space for her. You’re her hero. And mine. And the hero of pretty much anyone who’s seen one of your videos. ❤

The amount of debris you took out of that small yard was mind boggling. The end result was nothig short of miraculous and a beautiful job all way around. Kudos to yopu for giving the ladie's yard back to her to enjoy.

that was a great difference. no tripping hazards , no accumulating "stuff", and no unwanted plants to be taken care of. very nice of you to do t his for a disabled person. We keep so many things that we think will be needed later but it then becomes a hoarding issue. 👍👍👏
I was amazed of what all you cleared out of this yard. You can tell the owner enjoyed working in her garden. Now it is a clean slate. Hopefully, she can continue by having the raised gardens accessible to do what she likes to do. What a blessing George!

George when I saw the intro to this video, I thought George has had worse clean ups, but OMG! It kept giving and giving tons of scrap stuff. You did a beautiful job and all by yourself. It looks wonderful and I don’t know if anyone viewing saw how gloomy the weather was, and when you finished the sky was beautiful blue.
Now maybe a handy man can make some minor repairs around the fence and replace glass on windows.

Excellent. This transformation had a little bit of everything…trash and green waste removal, bush and tree trimming, lawn mowing and even a few nails hammered in to fix a fence board. I always enjoy your meticulous style and cleaning as you go. You helped this woman a great deal because that yard looks 100% better.
