The 2-stringed cello-like instrument is a traditional Mongolian morin khuur, commonly called a *HORSEHEAD FIDDLE.* What Gala and Enkush do with theirs is legend, and I thank you for taking notice of my favorite band. 🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶🎶
There's 4 members of the main band, (Galaa, Jaya, Enkush, Temka) and 4 members in their backing band. (Ono, Odko, Jamba, Davaa) You're hearing the Morin Khuurs and an electric guitar in the solo. It's just really really mixed well. The violin sounding things are the Morin Khuurs, Played by Galaa and Enkush, they are doing most of the singing on this track. Temka plays the 3 string tovshuur, which doesn't really stand out here but is present. Jaya opens the song with a jaw harp. (I forget the Mongolian name for it.) Pretty sure he's doing some backing vocals here, but not super sure. Enkush is the one just going nuts throat singing. And Galaa is doing more of the deep growls. Both are doing the overtone trills. The more you listen the better and more intricate it gets.
The Hu can cover Metallica like no other.
I have loved the Hu since I discovered them last year.
Awesome cover and reaction. There is something very evil and sinister about the way The Hu covers it.

You've inadvertently raised a good point - this would be an excellent way to learn Mongolian. Rosetta Stone Metallica.
The first mongolian word I ever understood is in this song. 😂

Morin Khuur also called Horse Fiddle
2string grazy 1000% nature
It’s called Horse fiddle or horse harpa. There’s snake fiddle, swan fiddle and king fiddle etc.
The 2 stringed instrument is called a morin khuur. The one doing the solo is probably ENKHUSH.
