Ah, Darksiders. The series with insanely good voice actors in the lead role. Seriously, between War's brooding baritone and Death's vicious rasp, whoever does Fury or Strife has a lot to measure up to. Who do you all think should they get for "Darksiders 3"? I'd put money on Gideon Emery, Laura Bailey, Keith David, or Courtenay Taylor.
Tony Favilla Keith Silverstein (or whoever does the Rebel voice in Xenoblade Chronicles X) would be amazing for Strife. Laura Bailey is also an amazing VA so her as Fury would be awesome.

However, unlike death , war may not kill you , he may beat you or brutalize or mutilate you till near death , the only thing stopping him from doing so is his honor. Death gives you a quick clean death, war punishes you or kill you in the most painful way possible
I loved this game but i didnt feel like deaths personality suited him much in this game except for the part where he asks for the city, compared to this, the novel written featuring the horseman, called darksiders: the abomination vault features around death and war and death is such a fucking badass! at one point him and war visit lilith and death shoves war into the walls with brute force and says "you will wait here or else i will make you wait by feeding your feet to my harvester"

think about it, death is being lead around by his nose and he knows it, he's forced to jump through countless hoops for goals that should be simple, hell, he's been doing it for the whole game! who wouldn't be frustrated as all hell after fighting a fat, ugly, halfassed angel scribe?! this guy just broke the camel's back!
Death's anger in this scene is legendary, but in hindsight the complete 180 in tone he does upon finding out the Archon used him is...unsettling. See, I read the tie-in novel, and--SPOILERS Death used War as a decoy and sent the enemy to assassinate him, convincing his enemy that War had the key to the weapons that would grant him his misguided and guilt-fueled idea of "justice" after he betrayed and condemned the person who mattered most to him a long time ago. War *died*, and Death just barely managed to resurrect him. War still doesn't know this, and continues to hold Death in the highest regard. Death did this to cover up his self professed greatest crime, merely trading one sin for another. This is Death's TRUE motivation in trying to redeem War. Death just figured out that the Archon used Jemaerah as a decoy and sent Death himself to assassinate him, convinced that Jemaerah had the key that would grant him his misguided and guilt-fueled idea of "justice" after he betrayed and condemned the person who mattered most to him a long time ago, and he nearly killed an innocent brother in order to do it. If you think I"m reading too deep into this, the pre-order DLC code you got with this book would give you one of the weapons sought in the book at this point in the game, just to make it blatantly obvious.
If I remember correctly, the book starts off by saying it's not canon. And yes, I know about Mortis, but it's DLC. While it is in the game, it's not really a part of the story.

The book starts with a "historical/mythological note" stating the book takes place eons before the events of the Darksiders 1 & 2 (500 years after the formation of the Horseman I believe), and that the Horsemen's looks, weapons, spells, and possibly even motives may have changed since then. Just the normal stuff that can change between games really. The blurp on the back states it was written in close collab with the Darksiders II teams at Vigil and THQ, so as far as I can tell they've been doing the 40K thing where all expanded universe material is canon. Also I didn't mean to imply that Death just had Mortis on him and decided now would be an appropriate time to use it. I just meant the game choosing to stick it in the hands of the player at that point would have thematic relevance to people who had that original DLC, cause the only way to get it was to have the book iirc. It's not DLC anymore though. Thankfully it and all other DLC are included in the Deathinitive Edition.
Dude, I've been into these games for years and I NEVER thought about the connection between this and what Death did in Abomination Vault. I always just kinda thought that Death had contained his true rage for the Archon himself after he found out that Jamaerah was a decoy, after all there was no point in directing his anger towards someone who didn't deserve it. But the connection you made makes so much more sense, especially since it's made clear that Death still feels awful for doing that to War all those years ago. I'm not sure if that's what the developers intended, but even so, that's such a cool concept to think about.
Is their a way to get unlimited execution chance such as a cheat or a hack??? Because I miss that from the first game where you could always execute enemies instead of building it up. :( If anyone hs an answer please reply!

With this, you can end almost every encounter with an execution (Not sure if higher than 50% is possible but in all fairness, with 50% it was already an OP weapon as with small enemies, two hits were enough to iniate an execution...) How do you make such a weapon? -Step 1: find or buy weapons with high execution chances -Step 2: find a possessed weapon (if possible with execution chances -Step 3: feed the possessed weapon with the execution chances weapons. -Step 4: if max. feed is reached for the possessed weapon is reached, find a new possessed weapon. -Step 5: repeat step 1 with the new possessed weapon. -Step 6: the last weapon you feed to it, is your previous possessed weapon. -Step 7: Do this again and again with new possessed weapons. (There is a chance that when during a sacrifice the execution chances initially drops a little (especially with the sacrifice with of possessed weapons) but this returns with further feedings. -Step 8: 50% execution chance is reached.
Late comments and you probably don’t care no more but 2 had a larger budget than 3. So they were able to implement more to the environment and art style to make it look better and more polished. Also they tried out a new art style and feel for part 3. 3 actually has better graphics than 2 believe it or not but lots of people like you prefer the art style of the second and first game
