I don't have access to live music performances. living in the wilds of upstate NY. So, I enjoys these performances here. I've found a home in the music of Mr. Glass and listen to something he has written almost every day. I can't fully express the joy I have in hearing this piece especially. Starting out the day hearing something which has no other motive than instilling happiness is a wonderful experience. I have only a short time left and appreciate very much the capacity of Glass's music to transport.
I just can't afford to buy all the Glass that I'd like, so hearing it here lets me pick the music I can't live without. Sometimes I lose myself if his music. I hope they play it in the nursing home I'll eventually be going to.

You are in the middle of it! This masterpiece moves you to another level - if you are willing! If not, stick to Megadeth or Miley Curus or Harry Stiles, the soyboy waering his granny's clothes and pearls or whatever - and don't wast your precious time here, I'd kindly recommend!
@@atheistfromaustria so rude for a question you don't even understand. this work is a masterpiece and does not deserve to be dissected like this - this video only contains the second of three movements.
@KingstonCzajkowski I know, I bet I've been listening to the album longer than you did. It was the first CD I bought on Amazon over 20 years ago. It was an import from the US from a label called Orange Mountain Music. And I knew parts of movement II even long before because it was used for a commercial in cinemas first and the whole album was composed later. I remember: my answer was referring to a deleted comment saying the music was boring. Greetings!
@@atheistfromaustria ah, a comment was deleted. i apologise, i thought you were responding to "where is movement I?" lol. please don't degrade the other three artists you mentioned though, their music has its own merits, although in a very different way than glass' does
@KingstonCzajkowski at least these three artists have an advocate with a much more... let's say... distinct taste in music 😀 many of Glass' composings are genius, I got to know him the first time when listening to Mike Oldfield's Platinum North Star finale which is simply amazing!
I agree though for a different reason perhaps than you. I have a dark sense of humor, and appreciate little frissons of irony. Laughing your way toward the ebony gates would be preceded by a welcome from Rowan Atkinson, accoutered as Toby, his satanic majesty. But it's beautiful music. I listen to it at least three of four times a week. If there's no Glass in Hell, I'm not going. I'll go to the other place.
Beautiful 😍
무상하며 그저 예쁘고고운 길을 걷고싶네요 ~~
Lovely. Congratulations, for the choice....

You have eternity.
I really share your feelings about this wonderful music. It's eternal. I'm going to have it at my funeral. It'll make everything a lot easier.
@@juliacaesar9256 I fully agree too, it's the epitome of eternity in music.
Sehr schönes Lied! Haben wir sogar im Musik Unterricht durchgenommen🩷

Great. Last time for some reason this masterpiece was deleted from youtube. Please keep it and do not erase it from here.

The perfect soundtrack to accompany eternity in hell
