More renovation videos! That was awesome. I was not familiar with that paint product. This video motivated me to paint our kitchen cabinets which we have been wanting to do for seven years!!
Ha! That’s awesome Nick!! So glad you liked the video! And you should totally paint your kitchen cabinets with it! We did the big house and little house cabinets with this paint, and it's baller. Call me if you want more details on getting it tinted to the right color whenever you decide to do it!

Yessss!!! I even dropped white paint on my black and white wallpaper today, so I used sharpie on the wallpaper to draw in the pattern and now you can’t even tell! 😂🤯

Haha! Yes, we need to get back on it!! We traveled to Kenya for a couple of months, then got pregnant, bought a new and had a baby since we’ve last posted! I’d be happy to FaceTime with you sometime if you want to give you our RV tour and answer any questions. Happy to help in any way we can! So, our plan is to travel again in a few months with the 3 kids!
This video had some great tips - thanks. One thing though, PLEASE concider using gloves and a vapor mask when using Acetone. It is a hard core chemical. It is absorbed through the skin.

Hi we tried painting our cabinets with some regular paint but you could wipe it off once dry would acetone do a good job prepping the cabinets to where the paint held or is sanding gonna be required?
Hey Luis, thanks for reaching out! I believe acetone would be okay, as long as their is no line from where the paint held to where it rubbed off. If it flaked off or there is a hard line then I would sand at a minimum the line to blend it even. There’s a lot of variables though. What prepping did you do the first time? The main thing the acetone does is to get rid of any oils on the surface which allows the better bond. The only other thing I’m thinking is that you may need to do an extra coat to even out the base layer depending on how big that contrast is. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! Also, if you do end up wanting to sand it, always still wipe with the acetone after for sure! Don’t skip that step or else the dust will prevent your new coat from adhering properly.
Just found you on TH-cam! Great video. My question is...how or where did you find the colored green INSL-X paint? This is our first rv, and I’m hoping to lighten it up with some color! Thanks!
Thanks so much! I bought the regular white paint off Amazon, then you take some out, like maybe a half inch of it, then you can take it to a Sherwin Williams (best bet) or your local paint place for them to tint it whatever color you want! They won't guarantee an exact match to whatever color you want, but it should be pretty close!
Can you use the same products for painting laminate cabinets? or just wood?
Totally! The cabinet trim and the cabinets colored walls in our RV are all laminate and it’s working really well! Just do the proper prepping with acetone first.
Could I use the INSL-X paint on rv walls as well?
Also I'm unable to find INSL-X paint in any other colors
Hey Antonia, So sorry for the late response! I actually wouldn't recommend it for the walls, at least if your walls are like ours. The texture just isn't right for painting to me. I've used the peel and stick wallpaper on our walls as an alternative. I also added the Insl-x paint back onto the painting supplies list. So sorry, I just added it! It's the Insl-x Cabinet Coat paint. It comes in white and you can take it somewhere to be tinted, but it's easiest if you're just doing white.
I just noticed the Handy Paint Pail I was using wasn't showing up for some reason either, so I added another one on there too. The list seems to not be functioning completely right, but it should all be on there now. Let me know if you have any other issues. Thanks so much for your support! -Kelsey

Thank you for letting me know. I’m not sure why it’s not showing on your end, because it’s showing on my side that it’s there. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. If you type in ‘Insil-x cabinet coat’ it should come up. I used the ‘trim and cabinet enamel’ version. It comes white but you can have it tinted locally by a Benjamin Moore store

Hey Cami, Thanks for reaching out! I added the Insilix Cabinet Coat paint in semi-gloss (for easy cleaning) and a paint thinner (and degreaser) as another option for the acetone (and it's a good price). Let me know if that works for you!

I dont understand what all the rage is for painting everything white but its driving me crazy. White is the worst color to paint walls and cabinets that you are constantly going to be touching and it is very dull to look at plus touch ups will be every year ir so because everything showes
