Dave that was an interesting trip. I know it was only 3 days away. It was three more days than I have even been able to spend on my boat in the last two years! Wells looks like a great town. Looking forwards to anything you put on TH-cam if it has to with maintenence, Hull marina and local businesses etc... Future plans can wait until the situation becomes clearer. Take care. Still in lockdown here in Jakarta but its sort of semi opening up a bit more on Monday as the lockdown had the desired effect and eased the numbers back to more manageable levels for the health services to manage.
Thanks for that John. Our restrictions have been lifted, but due to 80% of the population being vaccinated. We are seeing rates rise faster than before. So still a big worry. Hope all goes well for you in Jakarta.
Hi Dave. Thanks for the guided run into Wells. I know from previous videos that you use Navionics to plan. A couple of questions, do you trust the course it plots out of the Humber? And which paper chart do you recommend for the trip please? Thanks Paul
Hi Paul. I use Imray c29 for my paper chart. Yes I use navionics, but no I don't trust it's auto routing. I use the auto route as a start, but then go through and manually adjust, especially close the mouth at Spurn. I did a video on the correct routes to take on the Humber Approaches earlier this year for both north and south. Cheers.
@@MyAvaGrace thanks Dave. On Spurn can you really trust depth even at low tides? Keep up the interesting posts! Thanks
At Spurn you can, the problems in Humber are upstream beyond the bridge.
