I think that electrics are one of the dodgiest items in cars or boats because everyone thinks that 12V is safe to play around with and do half-ar*ed mods and repairs to. You would really be well advised to check every electrical wire and connection you can reach and remove the abominations left by previous owners. BTW, what the heck was the winch and the windlass doing on the same breaker? You are certainly getting one heck of a shakedown sail 😄Where there no anchorages for temporary shelter?
The east coast is not a good place for safe places. Very few harbours, and most of them dry. So it's a case of trying to pick a day and off you go. That run was 44 miles. We have just completed a 68 mile run to the next port going north with only one accessable harbour along the way.
Once I can get to a place where I can make up another high capacity lead I will be splitting the 2 winch isolators. They are on separate breakers, strangely neither tripped.
Great to see you making progress. I took Hullabaloo into Eyemouth and then over to Anstruther when I was sailing singlehanded up to Wick. You have to get the tides just right for those tricky little harbours! Love watching your Adventures! Kate
All good experience 😊
It was fun 😊
I did not get the name of the harbour you are in in the begining of the video, nice place.
It was Eyemouth. It is a nice little harbour and village.
@@MyAvaGrace thank you !
Your welcome

@@MyAvaGrace - then I suspect that the breakers are either rated too high or are duff.Or possibly are not even plumbed in at all...
Thanks Kate, hope all is good with. Well done on your fund raising.
