- The tragic death of Enrique Granados on 24th March, 1916, while returning to Spain, deprived the country of one of its most talented composers. The "Sussex", the ship he was traveling home on, was torpedoed by a German submarine between Folkestone and Dieppe, after the success in New York's Metropolitan Opera House of his opera Goyescas. In fact, Granados and Isaac Albéniz, leading champions of nationalist and post-romantic currents, were responsible for launching Spanish music forward towards horizons of unquestionable internationalism. Born in Lérida, on 27th June 1867, Granados died before his 49th birthday, at the height of his career. #aliciadelarrocha #piano #classicalmusic #spain

Wunderschöne und nuancierte Interpretation dieser ein bisschen melancholisch komponierten Klavierwerks im veränderlichen Tempo mit klarem doch elegantem Anschlag und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Echt tiefempfunden!

Decir de esta obra de arte "qué mal tocada" es blasfemia jajaja. Escucha la versión grabada por el propio Enrique Granados, usa este tempo y en ambos casos la magia está en el contraste entre el andante y el lento assai, interpretados maravillosamente
