    My improvement has been ~static~ in these scenarios for a while. I watched this vid and improved one of my voltaic benchmarks by 3 kills. Closing in on jade. Thanks for your insight Matty!

    Thanks Matty, this video made me realize why I am good at micro flicks but not larger flicks. It's because I'm not actually flicking because I'm too scared to land too far off the target.

      I have the opposite problem where my micro flicks take too long when I’m trying to be precise and my hand tenses up. Do you have any tips on how to practice micro flick?

    i clicked on this video on a response to someones questions in voltaic discord and your video popped up on my youtube within the same second and both played at the same time, the timing on that is insane to have my previous video happen to end at that second and that it was the same video

    I am still debating, but I have came into some conclusions.
    1). Your neurons which helps you do the muscle memory things require your do it identical movements to build mylein sheaths over the neural pathways. Search it up, I'm not yapping guys. This means the slow, but accurate movements that you want are needed to make that neruonal strength.
    2). If you never try, you will never be able to train it. Meaning, flicking like you tell in the video is extremely needed in the training sessions in order to actually have your brain practice it. If you never do those flicking, how are you even practicing? And if you're not practicing the exact thing that you want to perform, will you ever improve?
    So yes that method is important to practice. The dynamic speed is needed.
    But I can still argue that slower, smooth movements has its place in making things more solid, accurate.
    Beginners should practice more of slow-precise movements and then go to the flicking method.
    People are in better position, so practice both.
    When you are in "mastered" position, practice the flicking thing more than the precise-sloe technique.
    This is the conclusion I've reached.

    • @Alex-fh4my
      @Alex-fh4my หลายเดือนก่อน

      nonononoooo. motor learning does not occur through "building mylein sheaths". learning occurs through strengthening and weakening of connections at neuronal junctions in the motor cortex and cerebellum. slow movements that are completely unlike the fast movements you would want to make with perfect form are completely different movements, and so do not teach you how to make the movement at all. the only thing this helps is to build understanding of where the targets are located in space.
      please pick up any basic neuroscience textbook if you do not believe me

    holy i've been aim training for a month and I just realized I haven't been flicking correctly

  • @glashausAimz2
    @glashausAimz2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    if play on a "faster" sense and i don't quite know if i am actually flicking. it just doesn't feel like a flick ingame at all. you know the window wiper motion over at least half of the pad. if i use that sens in training the scenarios becomes rather tiring. i wonder what a healthy cm/360 is to run the static benchmarks. i am currently jade in vt benchmarks and i definitely hit a plateau trying to go over a certain amount of dots(right around 130-140 seems to be my max).

    How do I start actually flicking vs. what I was doing in the past? I am having the 1st issue and I am not sure how to get over it, especially in clicking scens on the VT benchmark. I can do the reflex scenarios while flicking but when it comes to 1wXt scenarios, it screws me.

    Hi! I hope you still reply back on your old vids and I hope you can reply on my question! It would be highly appreciated.
    I am interested on your theory but it doesn’t solve one glaring issue you didn’t answer, you said we be exaggerating the speed of our initial flick and slow on our micro so what is the speed we need so that it isn’t too fast or too slow for the initial flick? Cause if I ape or do the flick fast the initial flick the line I make is mostly curved lines or worse very far off. And if I do it too slow, Im basically “sauntering” my flicks

  • @MrPragnienie1993

    If you can't consistently flick to a still target you can't flick to a moving one that's the point.

    I'm currently plat in voltaic but i fell like i don't improve in static clicking, even if i do older clicking scenarios that i used to do 1 or 2 years ago (i allways trained for 1~ month and dropped for like 7 or 8 months) the scores are the same.
    It's demotivating since i'm spending hours on something where i have few if no improvement, i'm trying this metod and i have to say that i fell more control but still not big improvements

    • @nnekoa
      @nnekoa ปีที่แล้ว +7

      idk if you’re still aim training but what helped me go from plat to masters in a month was really practicing with intent and fully challenging myself. You cant just play the scenario the same way every time and expect results, you need to realize what you’re doing wrong so you can improve it. That be flicking, by practicing speed or playing wide wall scenarios. Or if its micro adjustments, try to play smaller scenarios that force you to get good at micro adjustments.
