Don't sleep on ceiba's advice to "soft focus" on the area around the target. Doing so allows you to see all of the environment and dodge projectiles as needed. While many of us likely do this without thinking about it, aim training can teach the bad habit to only "hard focus" on the target in game. This results in losing the context of the environment the target is in and their various options for movement and cover.
It's very respectable after reaching high ranks in every benchmark etc, that you go on to make educational content to help newer players/experienced to get better. Cheers matty
The instant acceleration in Overwatch has nothing to do with the engine btw. Whether the player should immediately move at their maximum velocity or gradually build up to it over a certain time period is a simple Dev decision and could be implemented into their game in any engine.
Great work on the video, should be said that instant movement when changing direction is what make dynamic clicking harder in ow and why also good overwatch players do good in dynamic scenarios
Make sure to comment to boost the algorithm so matty gives use more content like this!!! Also make sure it is long. Extras you should do: Like, like other comments, comment under comments. :)
This might sound weird but I have the Ability to cross my eyes and focus while looking at the target but also not looking at the target. I basically unfocus my eyes. I know so strange but it works.
So what Ceiba said was to look in the opposite direction that the player\bot is currently strafing? In that case would it be good to look at the edge of the target in that same direction? Or is he just saying to look to the opposite direction as a whole?
what are your thoughts on dpi? ive tried 400, 800, and 1600 and im not sure which one i like because they feel different at times. Is there a "better" dpi or is it just a natural feel and adapting.
IMO 1600 is the perfect balance. There's a video by optimum tech about mouse latency when using different DPIs, 400 had lots of latency and wasn't recommended at all. 800 was okay, but 1600 had better latency. Anything above that was such a minimal benefit that it wasn't really worth going higher.
Hello, I'm Brazilian and I don't speak English very well, would it be possible to add subtitles? I really wanted to absorb the content of the video, thank you in advance for your attention.
i am way too lazy to watch this video but i have nothing resembeling smoothness and still score well on scenarios where people reccomend grinding smoothness to get highscores take that for what it is worth. no need to grind smoothness trillions of hours when you can just be faster
If edge tracking doesn't translate to other games and edge tracking is not ideal for pure reactivity, wouldn't pure reactivity tasks be ideal for training for other fps games?
Is it useful to play LDDH on a lower speed ? Could i improve by doing this ? or do i just need to grind until being able to run LDDH on the standard speed ?
woah. after watching this video, I can now see in four dimensions, and aim in 5. thank you Matty Overwatch
Ima need yall to do collabs more often my 2 favorite aim gods
i can finally track the cylinder thank you ceibafps
real

matty + ceiba this is a truly a certified classic
the guest in this video was very inspiring. One of the best OW players thats pretty cool
As an Aimbeast main, this video makes me very happy
Scucchi told me high levels of reactivity isn't just its own category, but a combination of all the categories. I've kept that in mind ever since.
It's very respectable after reaching high ranks in every benchmark etc, that you go on to make educational content to help newer players/experienced to get better. Cheers matty
Awesome vid matty and ceiba. Ty for all you do for the aiming community
mbm would be proud
Incredible insight, I will try these techniques tomorrow.
Never seen more precise aim lecture than this. this topic was one of my worries these days. but you cleared it easily. thank you so much
good vid
Great video, loved the info you both provided
good stuff matty & ceiba keep up the good work
IN MATTY WE TRUST!!!
yooo thank you so much for these resources thank uuuu

my favorite content on youtube
Ceiba's info was HUGE. They spoke so fast that, I had to stop training and tune all the way in. lol
I love an hate you for using king full panda as intro it was perfect. Thank you for this content.
YES ANOTHER EPISODE!!!
thats the content i need
Great work on the video, should be said that instant movement when changing direction is what make dynamic clicking harder in ow and why also good overwatch players do good in dynamic scenarios
In other words..... "Ultra Instinct"
Aria Math in background what a banger
whats the reasoning with looking at the bottom of the target as it gets closer to you at 4:07
Amazing intro
Waiting for the matty + fusah collab
Quick suggestion to make the Playlist now, so you have it for later ❤
yeah, i really need to stop "predicting" cuz in real fps, players just do the most random shit that can throw you off so bad. imma work on this now.

Not sure if ceiba's gameplay or voice is more cracked

nice background music
the best from the best
Where can I find the Snowi's technique video? One of my favorite aimers ever. She was built different
nice
Me at the start of the video - oh no descriptive audio is on, how i turn that off?
Helps a lot ( at least being a relief) to new comers!Drills don't explain themselves and voltaic iron plans really beats me up.

What scenario was it in 0:27 ?
i wish you dont turn off captions on your videos. it helps me to understand what you say, my english is not very good.
Does edge tracking actually transfer in game? Or is it just there to improve scores in aim trainers?
Mostly to improve aim training scores.
matt yow

Technically, the higher the dpi, the more accurate it is, but it’s negligible and is honestly up to the user

apex engine has quake heritage so i really doubt the "engine" in overwatch is special in terms of speed its only devs choice
i am way too lazy to watch this video

take that for what it is worth. no need to grind smoothness trillions of hours when you can just be faster
are there any recommended "pure reactivity" aimbeast scenarios?
The tracking scens in the aimbeast and vrtcl ranked playlists are pretty much all this, a few are featured in the video like KTH Close FS Hard
W
mattyow get gud score big bot edge tracking but cant kill flying mercy instant accel haha
goated vid matty ily

nvm ceiba answered it well, great vid
i never felt like aim training translated to ingame success until playing aimbeast
