THIS IS HARD ! I suffer diabetes and resistant high blood pressure . I'm immunocompromised. Since March 2020, I'm mostly at home and only go out for medical app or food shopping EARLY in the morning .. I am mentally suffering. I want my life back but due to people not wearing a mask. I can't socialize around allot of people ALSO Because I'm visually impared
I don"t drive so I rely on public transit. I can:t ride public transit because people are not wearing a mask and I can't afford Uber. This is hard very hard I only leave the house on Thursday via brother driving me. This is hard.

Wasn't this a concern with the normal flu, too? Or am I just crazy? 😷🤔

The thing people like you are missing is that COVID is not the normal flu. It is a once in a generation global pandemic that has already killed 1 million people in the space of 2 years. COVID is not only more contagious than the flu, it is also magnitudes more dangerous, and if you manage to survive, you could be facing long term health issues, even if you were previously healthy. Brain damage, organ damage, diabetes, POTS, ME/CFS. This is a mass death, mass disabling event that no one alive has ever experienced before. COVID is not the flu. It's just not.

Our bodies have seen the flu viruses before. Covid is new. As an immunocompromised person, I am still at extreme risk of catching long Covid every time I am around people who may be infected and refuse to wear a mask. I had to be careful about getting the flu before. I have to be adamant about not catching Covid.

I'm sure it was hence why they tell people to get flu shots, but its not perfect and sadly only 50 percent of Americans have gotten them. Than again its less of an issue for most people and more have taken at least one shot for covid.

COVID 19 is much more contagious and a lot deadlier via things like cytokine storm 🤦🏻‍♀️

@@JablesBee True I just wish it cane come down to flu levels. The fear is insane and as someone who's young and blessed to be healthy I'd hate to spend the rest of my life living in pandemic mode.
