Very nice video! Not patronizing at all. And yes, I just need to print those photos and get cracking! I didn't know scrapbookers made podcasts, so that was interesting. Also I was thinking some classes would help develop skills, so that you're not producing the same old thing.. So it's nice to see there are some free classes out there! Thanks for sharing xx

I believe it depends on how many photos you order, but shipping usually starts at $1.99 and I think they cap it at $9.99. I usually pay about $5 for 35-50 4x6 prints, tax included. And since I get a lot of collaged photos printed (like two 3x4 photos on one 4x6 print or 6 2x2 photos on one 4x6 print), I get way more photos printed for that price.
I want to make a scrapbook to gift my friend. I have no idea how to start it. I have printed out all her pictures and I actually handmade a book and designed the cover with normal paper :grimace: i know it wont be a good base but i want to use it anyway because the binding and all took a lot effort. Any advice on starting the scrapbook? I thought of dividing the book into 3 parts. 1. pics of her family, 2 school and friends pics 3. things she has created. But i have no idea what to do on the first pages. any advice would be gratefully received.
I've created a bunch of scrapbooks using a handmade book, so it's a great base for your project! Maybe for the first page you could use it like a cover page? Like use a photo of her--or maybe one of you and her--and write her a little personal note/letter, saying I hope you love this book I made for you, so happy we're friends, etc. The first page is always really hard, so try to keep it simple. And dividing the book up into parts sounds like a great idea! Cause then you know what to put into each section. I hope that first page idea is helpful. xx

You can scrapbook however you want! Most people keep yearly albums and create spreads each week or once a month. You can keep a daily scrapbook too. Or you can scrapbook by season. Some just scrapbook the big life events, while others scrapbook everything. You don't even have to scrapbook chronologically if that doesn't work for you. I say begin with one way and see how it works for you.

And definitely try your local stationery/scrapbooking shop too. Some art stores may carry washi as well. You definitely find more variety online, but for brick and mortar shops, I'd try those places first.

Hi. I use a Canon Pixma, but I really get all of my photos printed through FreePrints. It’s a super easy phone app.
