The Always Period Panties are a great option too. Praying for a safe delivery and minimal recovery time for Mama 😊 The portable sound machine is an awesome idea! Hospitals are so loud! Great vlog!
I’m 33+4 with identical twin boys, and will be having a C-section on 2/2, if they don’t decide to come earlier. I plan to pack our bags this weekend. Remember the car seat, and consider bringing your breastfeeding pillow.
Just gave birth a week and a half ago at exactly 37 weeks! I used all the hospital postpartum stuff and it was great. I’ve been living in depends ever since giving birth and those ice pack pads have been a must have. I was in the hospital for three nights and didn’t need my pump. They gave me a hand pump and used a syringe at one point because my baby had jaundice and needed to make sure she was eating. Labor and delivery is hard but the best experience of my life and so magical!
Currently at the hospital with my niece who just had my great nephew last night at 11:34! She was 37 weeks. Scheduled C-section was on the 22nd(my birthday!!)but he had other plans. Spending the night with her tonight 💕! I have to say that I am in baby heaven right now!! He is her mini me and has beautiful red hair 😍! You are ready to roll girlfriend! Wishing you and baby girl well, I can't wait to meet and find out her name!! ❤❤❤❤
I'm just gonna use my big suitcase so I can have my stuff. My husband's stuff and baby stuff as well. That's just work better for me. This is my third baby boy. I have a 28-year-old, a 19-year-old. And now this baby, March 2024. Congratulations to everyone and I hope you have a safe and it's unpleasant delivery. And don't overthink the hospital gave you a majority of the things. So just have a great time but your new bundle of joy🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
I would say bring the pump if you are pumping and not directly breastfeeding. I had like a coach come in and told me it’s good to pump to get the milk to flow. I know for me after having my first baby my milk came in the second day at the hospital after using the one they had. It wasn’t the best pump but it helped.
I can't believe how time flies!!So exciting.Baby’s clothes are super cute.Thank you for your sharing. I really like your pregnancy sharing.Well wishes on your delivery. I'm here to accept your good luck.😇😇
Bring a wireless pump. I have a spectra 1. Target has it. Charge it the night before you go. My last two pregnancies my supply took some time to come in. In 5months I will have my 3rd baby. I will find out the gender in 4weeks. So far I have two girls 4yr old & 2yr old. O and bring extra $ just in case your hungry in between the meals the hospital gives you. Bring, towels, extra hygiene stuff travel size just in case, nonslip slippers for the shower hospital floors are gross lol. Bring comfortable shoes just in case your feet swell. Last min you can also call L&D to ask what they have in stock let them know your info, and you can minimize or add to what you have packed.
Great video ❤ when are you due? I'm due 11th February (but having a section on the 5th February) with a little boy - second baby 👶 💙 already have 6 Yr old daughter. Hope all goes well for you lovely - being a mummy is the best thing in the world 🌎 ❤️ xx
I’m 37 weeks and 3 days today and a girl has been STRUGGLING to figure out what to pack and what not to pack😫 Is there anything that you didn’t end up needing at all? I don’t wanna overpack if not necessary. This was extremely helpful though!🩷
We are not far apart in our pregnancies! I’ll be 38 weeks this Friday with my own baby girl 🥰 I am getting induced on the 19th. I think what you packed is good. I would add a portable fan as I have heard it helps a lot as hot flashes during labor can be intense. I would also pack a blanket and pack some snacks as well. I am getting my blanket I’m going to be bringing this week (as I don’t want to accidentally ruin one of my favorites from home) and getting all the snacks together as well.
awww how exciting!! congrats!! i will be scheduling my induction at my appt tomorrow and don't think i will be too far behind you! i still need to get a fan but i have my blanket and snacks packed! i would highly suggest the blanket i got from walmart- i have 2 of them and they are my favorite!! prayers for a healthy/safe delivery and baby! 🥰🤍
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but if you haven’t bought any Depends for yourself postpartum, I highly recommend them! They feel like underwear and are so absorbent! I hate the bulky pads lol. Good luck! And congrats!
@@ShanelleRenee awesome! I swear it feels like a bowling ball between your legs with the mesh underwear, huge pad and ice pack the hospital gives. And trust me, it doesn’t give a lot of l leak coverage.
Hey love, I hear a lot of mamas in LD like having a fan blowing on them during labor. Also, anything that can help you with setting an amazing mood in the room like aromas, or lights (flameless candle) etc. So excited to see you grow🙂
How did your appt go that you were a bit concerned about? Glad you got another pair of pjs! Hormones kick in and i swear your sweating out loads of xtra fluid. I am not sure if every new moms do this but most i know did. Depends a must, what the hospital supplies is not ideal. Maybe make a list of things you want to grab from home last minute, in case excitement or nerves take over and you cant think. Long cord great idea as the plug ins are usually behind the bed. Walmart has them, amazon also and you can even get a four pack relatively cheap. Getting close now, you seem pretty prepared! See you in the next vlog Shanelle. Blessings!
It went fine! I was just nervous to get checked because I heard that it hurt! Which it was very uncomfortable but all went well! I definitely need to make a last minute checklist so I don’t forget. Thanks for that!!
Don’t forget to pack snacks. I know you had bought some but I don’t remember hearing it in this video.. non slip socks, a warm blanket for yourself (hospitals are cold and they just give you those thin blankets) cheap sandals to take a shower with, your prenatal or postnatal vitamins, your Stanley cup, your iPad or laptop to watch movies or shows.. I agree with the depends! They are amazing and I preferred them over wearing those huge pads lol they have some with cute designs too lol
lololol i've already been snacking on my labor snacks 🤪 so may need to get more! i've got the socks, shower shoes and blanket but i just forgot to show them! i will def need to make sure my ipad is charged so i can take that! also thought about grabbing some cards so jared and i can play some games while we wait lol. thanks for the tips!!😊
@@ShanelleRenee yes! I was going to tell you about some cards or a game you both can play but I forgot lol it sounds like you are all ready to go! Baby girl can come any day now 😊❤️ can’t wait to see a video or ig post about it!! Also, just wanted to share that I just found out that I am pregnant! 😊 with my 4th baby.. hopefully a girl because I only have boys but whatever God gives us, I’ll be happy, as long as the baby is healthy! ❤️🥰
Just a few things that stood out is your own gown is great And love the peri upside down no need for bibs peanut ball birthing ball or the ice packs. No pump your milk doesn’t come in till about three days after anyways. Ohh i loved making my own pads for post baby lay pad down put tucks pads coat with witch hazel and aloe vera and fold back up and into gallon bag make like 15 and put in freezer youll thank me. prego with baby #3 baby boy will be naked doing skin to skin with me or dad i will only bring an outfit for pics ie blanket hat usually a knot gown or zip onesie and thats it for baby clothes going home outfit. I liked wearing my own reg prego underwear with big pads. Depends did not work for me. Extra stuff u didn’t have… grippy socks. 1$ flip flops incase u shower get a yoga micro fiber towel off amazon roll up so small Boob pads and Nipple cream.
Oh wow.. thank you for the tips! I do have grippy socks and shower shoes already just forgot to mention them. I need to add nipple cream and nursing pads! Thank you!! 🥰
Very exciting ❤ please consider bringing stool softner for yourself and the depends worked great for me. Maybe also consider bringing items in case baby girl has difficulty latching like a nipple shield or manual breast pump. And maybe get the water wipes for changing baby girl. And also take the items the hospital gives you home 😂👍
Is anybody breastfeeding on here? I have a question if I incorporate a pacifier. Would that make baby be like nipple confusion? Does anybody know or any pacifiers? That's good for that type of thing , or is it better to just not use it at all
i think it's very different for every baby! I have been using a pacifier for baby girl because she loves them (i am not a big fan of them but she gets what she wants haha) and she still does amazing nursing and latches like a champ. get some that mimic the nipple.
You don’t need a pump or bibs. Pack a towel the hospital once are small and hard. Chapstick is another must have.
Yes. The hospital air is so dry. For sure try to remember some chapstick.
I always just use my husbands chapstick so I’ll be good there hahah 😂
Yeah! Towels on hospitals are disgusting.
