I want to be clear about this video is that the Gigabyte PC is a used product they are not new for sale (anymore). U bought it from the marketplace for $49,- you can also have this option with other places ? Keep in mind this one was so cheap because of the i3 cpu they will also be sold with an i7.

I bought an old small form factor used business pc for $100 (converted from British pounds) from a thrift store. It came complete with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It was designed to be on 24/7 at low energy cost. I use it to run game servers for things like 7days to die and Project Zomboid. Great value and troll free gaming for the kids.

An all-in-one solution in the $50-$150 range that's capable of playing PS3 and Xbox 360 games would really set itself apart, but as it is most of these mini PCs are the same -- they aren't really good for anything beyond the PS2 and OG Xbox -- unless you pay $500+.
@lmcgregoruk Maybe the OG Xbox was a bad example, but presumably that will improve as emulators advancements are made, but I think you get my point. _For_ _the_ _part_ all of these inexpensive, all-in-one products are the same in that they're limited to emulating the sixth console generation or earlier.

If you want to mention what you paid in the video, fine...that's what you paid when you made the video. The internet struggles to understand that the world doesn't stand still...prices change. I just checked here in Germany, and I don't personally see prices in that region, stuff like this is usually around 80 €, and for 100 € you can already get HP, Dell and Lenovo thin clients with 8th gen intel i5s. Though I just got an older Lenovo ThinkPad T460 for 50 € + shipping, which has an i5-6300u and 8 GB of ram with a 240 GB SSD, as well as an internal and external battery, everything working, just missing the Power supply, which can be had for 15 €. Basically the same as this mini pc, except that it has a better CPU and comes with the usual extras that a laptop has. (Display, Keyboard, Touchpad, running off of battery) I think the Video shouldn't be taken as a recommendation, but as an example, if you have the space, maybe a bigger office pc of that generation fits better, as they tend to be thrown onto eBay from time to time. Also, just waiting for a deal, saving a search and looking at newly listed, buy now listings or looking for systems with slight damages can make a big difference depending on where you live!

Prices for used products is almost impossible. Where I find 50 to 100 usd mini pc they are sometimes 200+ on US marked. I just showcase the price I paid and what is possible. Specially in the future they will get cheaper and cheaper when the marked get's overflow with mini pc's from china in the end.

Not in anyone's currency..Unless super second hand on eBay.. Best I've found is the Acemagic AD08 it's about $220 or less? and is ideal for the job of retro gaming..And upgradable too..

I own one of these, I bought it about 7yrs ago, Pretty sure I paid way more than that and it came as a bare bones system, No memory, no harddrive, I have 1.5TB storage and 8 GB of memory, All up cost me around $400. He doesn't even mention the memory, What it came with memory? If I could buy another for $59, I would in a second. :)

300usd is a nice button to begin with. With mini pc's you can look into older Dell, HP or something with a powerful i7 cpu maybe ? Amd Ryzen are awesome only not 300usd.

When I buy the mini pc, and hook up the pawky pad to it, does the pawky pad have batocera pre installed or do I have to install batocera manually to the mini pc?
What you need to look out for is they are using old Batocera drives. So let's say they sell version 32 or 33. When you connect this to a new generation AMD Ryzen or brand new Intel chip it is possible doesn't boot up. With old stuff like the 6e generation i3 I did not have any problems. Plug 'n play only double check what version they use.
Saves don't take up a lot of space but a couple of gb's of free space is not a bad idea. 😃 You can always remove some crap games and clean up and save up a couple of gb.

Gigabyte pc is old and you can find them on Ebay if you are looking for them. They are not to be sold new anymore. That is why difficult to link those things. N100 mini pc is another new cheap solution.

OG Xbox is hard to emulate , way harder than the PS2. Even a Wii emulators more likely to work.

N100 does everything Up to ps2. Its on one Level with a i5 6400. But only needs 15-20watts of Power. I have one running with batocera.

me too link is for controller, went thru 25 pages so far of min pcs on ali express, not one yet at this price, not an i3, celeron n4000 are like 75, so i cant see it
