      How you get 6.9~7.9 ohm as resistance acceptance range ? manufacturer recommendation? Is that same for intake/exhaust solenoid valve? anyway thanks for this video, currently my Captiva 2015 2.4L pop up engine check with scan result P0013. now i'm still considering either only clean up or should replace these solenoid.

      Greetings from Seattle, I have a 2007 Mini Cooper and I just had a diagnostic test. The same code came up and I’m trying to figure out which specific VVT needs to be replaced. I have two, but when I researched the codes meaning it’s referred to as the variable valve timing solenoid on bank 1 of my engine. Your video was super helpful, but do you think you know which specific VVT my Cooper is telling me? Thanks❤

    I replaced my variable valve timing Solenoid, but unfortunately, my check engine light is still active with the same code, even after a couple of weeks. Had the oil changed before replacing the part.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi, Steve. Thanks a lot for the video.
    My chevy equinox 2015 has had checking engine light on for a while. But it has no symptoms at all.
    The code is P0013. I checked both intake and exhaust solenoids. Both of the resistances are 11.2 ohms.
    Do I need to change both of them?
    Thanks again.

    What the video fails to mention is that you have to remove the valve cover to get to the camshaft oil control valve which takes a lot more than 4 minutes.

      @@nondainc hi, mine is a 2009 Chevy cobalt. Maybe I took the wrong piece off, it was near the circled location? The piece I took off was on front of & end of oil block & all plastic except 3 pins. It looked nothing like your video part? Is it further to side or back? My engine doesn’t look like video, there’s no black covers on either side. Part I took off didn’t look like yours or a intake or exhaust valve? Here’s what reader says, P00013 = B Camshaft position actuator A control circuit/ open bank 1.

      @WHATEVER Did you get it figured out? I have a 2019 Ford Taurus & that code popped up, said the same exact thing. So I bought the exhaust camshaft position sensor, which I believe is the part you're describing. I didn't get to install yet, as winter is just getting over here, and no garage. I believe the parts their showing here on the video are the VVT solenoids? Which I know do go out & need replacing, but in our situation for the code we got..Idk lol yeah a bit confusing. Lemme know what /if you got yours figured out. Thanks

      @@HuskerRed11 yes ur right this is not titled right or wrong video for that code?!?! I did do the video part though & just cleaned inside with cue tip & wiped off the oil & put it back. It hasn’t given me a bad code since, not sure why it tells us that code though? I replaced exhaust solenoid 2 yrs ago, with an OE part… Oil change is coming up too but either video code is incorrect cause car is running fine & error free since I cleaned VVT black sensor for oil. My camshaft oil part didn’t look like this In engine area no prongs to test, it was all plastic but as I said cleaned sensor & around threads in block & removed some gunk perhaps affecting sensor?

    • @HuskerRed11
      @HuskerRed11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MYSONMYBUDDY Yup I believe that's what I was told also, to replace the all plastic exhaust camshaft position actuator sensor, after disconnecting the negative battery terminal first. Then after replacing the sensor, hooking the battery back up, if that amount of time replacing sensor doesn't turn check engine light off, use scan tool. Also, trying changing your oil too, I guess that helps some ppl in these instances. Lemme know how it goes.
