Do you have to replace the valve cover gaskets each time the valve cover is removed, or did you just do it because they were old? The reason I ask is because I replaced my valve cover gaskets months ago due to a small vacuum leak, and now I'm getting the P0010 code and hate the thought of essentially having to redo this entire job plus get all new gaskets. Great video!
I have a 2015 ford explorer. I was replacing the control valve solenoid and the aluminum housing that the solenoid bolts on to has broken - its the little ear that bolts onto the actual solenoid. It appears that there are just 3 bolts holding the housing on. However, it looks like the secondary chain is in the way and needs to be removed. Hate to mess up the timing chain - any other ideas on how to approach this? Much appreciated.
Does this apply for a P0012
those are the solenoids, sensors are on other end
