You guys should do a 'how to surf' series with michael. His level of surfing is really good yet relatable to intermediate/advanced every day surfers so I think his insights into things like frontside airs or flat spins would be really cool.
That’s crazy that you weren’t bogging the front rail. Your stance looked way too wide for that little thing. Kudos to you for figuring that thing out. You were ripping.
I feel like it takes a real style guru like Asher or Machado to make tiny boards like that look good. You were ripping though, props for making it work.
I have a twin fin with Rasta keels and am looking to experiment with a more upright fin to loosen it up and a tighter pivot in the pocket. Are the akila fins good for bigger guys (200 lbs)as well?
I had that board before & I say the same thing. Upright fins are the way to go. I think it's because the fins on that board are already far back. On the other hand, I can say that I didn't think it was that easy to surf. Not like a traditional Twin Fin. It´s way more performence! So I think that board is more suitable for experienced surfers not for beginners. I´m not a beginer, but a like easy...! 😅
Amazing talent to be able to surf a board like that especially first time. That being said something just looks off... unaesthetically pleasing to the eye. I get the going shorter but too short just looks awkward in my opinion.
Can you please play the Oompa Loompa song everytime Mikey surfs? Maybe just remix a little for each video. Like Oompa Loompa trip hop one video. Oompa Loompa boom bap the next etc.

UP
Agreed but the board he's using for his body is totally warped from an average bloke. a 5'10 5'11 shortboard for most is a stepup gun for him.
im 5’5, 135 lbs, 54 yrs old, and i have a 5’1 mini twin that is about 24.5L and i love it! perfect size for everything and it planes nicely.
You can’t go wrong with Akila Aipa twin fin set. They are truly the best fins out there!
I have a 5'2 DMS Gherkin, I'm 6ft. The thing is insane. Sometimes shorter just works
I just picked up a 5’4 DMS Gherkin last week. The board is nuts. People freak when they see the bat tail lol
@Earl Narajos I swear it's probably the fastest board. It looks so weird but it works so good.
This should've been a surf spot review that looked like a blast

You handled that board so well I thought Toledo was doing the vid!

Look great fun, loved the review 👍
Dude that board actually looks fun asf
MIRACLE! Opening scene, t-shirt on! Of course it's skin coloured
Have y’all tested the dominator 2.0 yet or plan to?
I’ve always wanted a board in my quiver that makes me look like I’m taking a humongous shit every time I takeoff
I'm 6'3 and have a 5'8 groveler, anything can surf if you're a good enough surfer. It's all physics
i’m 6’9 and i have a 5’1 groveler
Please try a wyve surf. They’re 3d printed and I wanna see how they go.
Idk how that worked but it looked sick 🔥
I haven't watch a clip that made me want to go surf this bad in a while.
Mate, try the Christenson C Hawk with the those Akila fins - its a special experience!
I would love to try this board
my guy's stuck in the past

What's the opening song? That wasn't people under the stairs

At least you look taller
These vids are cool

Where on earth are you surfing?
Yew

some one please tell me what beach that is, it looks amzing
Does someone know the title of the first song ?
Can't Imagine Paddling That thing Back out at My local point wave..Muh Back Hurts watching.
Do you carry a comb in your wetsuit. Like your hair is always styled
Board looks too short for you in my opinion, maybe a 5'0 or 5'1 would have been a better choice... who knows. Nice video though
I'm 5'5 and ride a 5'5, still fun as
Short wide boards are a lot of fun
Michael is the same height as the board
Where is he surfing
Still think the smaller board theory is flawed you need a rail line for better drawn-out cutbacks on these fishes
Need to read late 60s and early 70s Surfer Magazine. All done before ..
I will never find out how to ride a fish backside
🤙🏽
the only board you could fit in the bed of that truck is that board

YEAH!!!! Who's ya Daddy;))))
Sorry but $995 for a 4'9 just can't be real even with the quality of board
Nice clickbait stab, but that’s like a 5’7 for the majority of us.
4'8 doesnt seem too unreasonable given your stature...
??? My friend surfs a 4,4 and he rips. Air reverses . Vertical turns and big floats
Its looks like a skatebaord with not wheels on a wave
Next we will be putting a twin-fin set up on a trash can lid and selling it for $2,000. For an extra $8,000 we an add a 5-fin set up.
for reals
You guys got a distributor in Aus?
@@ManOfSauce Not sure if you're asking me, but we don't sell/distribute surfboards. We run boat charters to the Mentawais and North Sumatra.
Can someone like me, fat & 40, try this?? 😃🍔
Knee Machine
So imagine a guy who’s 5’11 dropping into “steep” sections
thats to small. cant go under 5'5 for me lol
Im sorry for your low view count
Yah.. it's a shame. I like it because it's the only series that follow an non pro surfer and we got to see him improve over the years.
No thanks...my 5'10 is a bitch to paddle as it is.
🤮🤙🏾
Ha. I stopped watching when he said “you wouldn’t want to be a old guy with bad shoulders”! My bad shoulders and I will go back to my mid length.
I think that's too big for you
