- Guitar Center's Product Spotlight provides a comprehensive overview of the B.C. Rich Mockingbird STC in Trans Red.
The heart of the STC is its Floyd Rose Original tremolo and a pair of B.C. Rich BDSM humbucking pickups. These high-output pickups are controlled with a selection of knobs and switches that include a 5-position varitone filter knob, two coil tap switches and a reverse phase switch. The neck-through construction also assures great tone and full fingerboard access. Other goodies include an ebony fingerboard, Floyd Rose Special tremolo, diamond inlays and B.C. Rich tuners. The transparent red perfectly highlights this model's quilt maple top. Case sold separately.
Check it out at any Guitar Center store or online: www.guitarcente...
sensors with Seymour Duncan Pro Slash about this guitar sounds very and very great! do not listen to the negative reviews of people who did not keep this guitar! I think this is the best guitar for the money that we offer. and the buttons are not so much if you understand how to use them to Use. I'm sorry for not being very good English because I'm from Ukraine) Peace)
B.C. Rich makes some of the best factory pickups in the game, even on their cheapo import model guitars.
huh that's interesting. I personally think those pickups are some of the worst pieces of shit to ever come to existence. I've tried them on several models and they just sound as bad as nails on a chalkboard to me.
ArdipithecusR. Yeah, that's a fact!! They're just for looks. Though you could bust a Kerry King and replace them.
Lemuel Lopez
Well, most KK's have EMG's so that would be a non-issue. Higher end B.C. Rich guitars can be pretty nice. The KK models are fugly tho.
I own a "Bronze series" (read: cheapo import model) Warlock, and haven't done anything to it (aside from repair the headstock, which I busted completely off in a stage rage before I even removed the protective plastics from the guitar), and it screams. Are the pickups as good as the DiMarzios I have installed in my Les Paul? Of course not. Are they damn better than what Epiphone etc. puts in their low-end stuff? Definitely.
Well, my brother got a Bronze series warlock during the early 00's and I wouldn't touch the thing with a stick. I think it looks, plays and sounds horrible. My >$100 Behringer strat-knockoff sounds better than it by a long shot. I also find Infinity and some Squier/cheap fender pikcups to be superior to BDSM's by a large margin. The only thing I can think of is that B.C. Rich got their shit together since this thing was made, which is somewhere around 10 years ago.
Cant wait to see the new series display for 2016 since B.C. Rich reissued new model line....hope to see you guys there
I've been trying to find a comparison video between the ST and the STC. The only differences I can see are the pickups, Duncan Design vs BDSM, and the neck through wood on the ST's.
Hey you look familiar did you come out to the G.C opening in Millbury, MA? I was working there then. Good times. I've got my eyes on the BC rich too! Great guitar.
just put a down payment on this guitar today. Cant wait to get it. Sa weeeet!
3 years later, do you still play the guitar?
Have it..fucking amazing
OH MY FUCKING GOD I WANT THAT FUCKING GUITAR
Nice!
I prefer the Bich!
They should bring the higher end Mockingbirds back, instead of these Toys'R'Us pieces of lumber. Hell, they should do a US line akin to Gibson entry-mid level Gibson guitars and mid end Fenders.
I've tried the original ST Mockingbird, equipped with Rockfield pickups (which aren't great but are way better than these shitty Duncan knockoffs), Original Floyd Rose and Grovers which is a good. I've tried the current ST, which is not very good. The STQ, which is like the current ST but with a quad bridge, and I've also tried this particular model, which is trash. I'm a huge mockingbird fan, and I really wanted to like any of these guitars because of it. Sadly, none of them are worth a damn. The only good production model they have is the Pro X and I've had a hard time finding it. Should've bough it first time I saw it.
They don't have the money behind them at the moment sadly! Some of the custom shop stuff is lush though!
Way too many knobs!
Never.
Sounds like shit
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
I would probably like this more if you weren't playing such an annoying song to show the guitar
