Can't believe i've missed this comment! Thank you so much! I'm really proud of the journey so far and look forward to continuing to grow as a creative. Thank you for your support - It means the world to me
James - you're back! And did I hear Mike say he was shooting with a Canon AE1? That was my very first camera and my introduction to photography. I remember my very first photo was by pure chance taken at golden hour (of course, I didn't know what that was then), and for some reason, it had a shallow depth of field. Crap photo, but seeing the colours and the subject standing out against the background BLEW. MY. MIND. And I was hooked forever. Anyway, welcome back and loved the video. The opening was exceptionally good. I've signed up for your Street Tools book and can't wait for it to come out.
We are back in business 😎 You heard correctly, Mike uses the AE1! Wild that camera was your introduction to photography, there is something so beautiful about film. Maybe one day ill bite the bullet and become a film dude ahaha
I’ve used Sony and Canon and Fuji mirrorless; currently have XH2s kit. Still haven’t found a sweet spot. In my youth, I loved film SLR’s, so I’m thinking about Leica now. Primarily I do street and architecture. I don’t have the budget for an M11 plus lens so I’m thinking about transitioning into a Q2 or Q3. Would appreciate your comments…
I can't say I notice the difference in image quality, buuuttttt then again i've not done a side by side. The biggest irk for me is that the Cron's hood has a notch cut out so you can see the scene in it's full glory. The Lux's has an opaque lens hood and I always feel like my composition could be a tiny bit tighter because of it
Thank you Gavin! Yeah I completely agree, but when there isn't that much light and colours aren't particularly saturated I love switching to B&W. Rarely ever go fully B&W with beautiful light
Thank you my dude! Yep everything is always shot at 60mp and then cropped. Always find having that flexibility is super helpful and allows me to create what feels right in the edit

I think it depends what you like to shoot, Leica is very street and I probably wouldn’t use it for architecture. What’s pulling you towards Leica?
@@JamesParsons1 I’m hoping to find a high quality camera with less bells and whistles that I enjoy picking up.
Great video, James. Thanks for sharing your POV. Which lens you rocking? 35 lux FLE?
Thank you my dude! Glad you like the video so much
@@JamesParsons1 why do you say that? You prefer the Cron to the Lux? Curious why!!

You enjoy B&W, but the colours from that camera are excellent!

In dull conditions I tend to increase white balance a bit, however this can mess with skin tones. @@JamesParsons1
Love this video and I love Lisbon for street….
what about Leica Q2/Q3 ?
Super ❤❤❤
Thank you 🙌 big love
Damn these are awesome shot!!
Did you shot everything in 60MP? Did you crop a lot on these pics?
Thank you my dude! Yep everything is always shot at 60mp and then cropped. Always find having that flexibility is super helpful and allows me to create what feels right in the edit
