    I don't normally comment on anything but if you found this video I will share my story:
    - I had terrible neck pain making my neck muscles incredibly tight and causing head aches that made me unable to function. Tried everything. It got so bad I considered ending things, I simply could not live.
    The first injection of PRP by a provider delivered about 80 percent relief, subsequent 2-3 treatments got me to 95 percent. I remain careful not to aggravate it. This was 9 years ago, I am probably at 90 percent now.
    I also had a badly torn rotator cuff and lax ligaments - PRP treatments fixed my shoulder completely but I went too hard and it finally gave out. Was performing at or near professional athlete level, having come from a position where my shoulder/neck pain would wake me up while I slept.
    Give it a try if you have tried everything else.

      I’m at similar situation. The headaches and eye pain are unbearable. Had prp done recently. But thinking of going to specialist like this doctor that does it straight to the spine.
      My question is, how come you couldn’t get to 100% symptom free? Cant they just keep injecting until you are 100% or it doesn’t work that way?

      @@squeekyclean1644 From my research so far the instability conditions are not curable but treatable. I believe I'm suffering from cervical instability and considering traveling from Pittsburgh to Florida to get tested and possibly treated with the prolotherapy or prp. I'm a MJ dancer and devastated at the thought that I might not be able to dance or perform again but my symptoms are so bad I'm thankful I can walk right now. I get seizure or stroke-like symptoms from the smallest amount of activity I struggle to wash and dry my hair, can't drive my car, can't even wash a sink full of dishes. So even if I can drive and go to work again I'll be happy. From what I'm finding tho people have such good results from this they usually are able to exercise and everything again it seems like it really works

    Im 33 and use to be a college athlete.
    I was diagnosed with upper cervical instability and I have been workout intolerant for 2 years. After covid it got way worse. it's hindered my whole life. Im often off balance, dizziness, air hunger when working out or trying too. Sometimes I have swallowing problems when drinking or eating. Constant Brain fog, occasional nausea, don't handle stress well at all. Tinnitus that hasn't gone away in 7 years. Visual snow hasn't gone away in 7 years. I've had my atlas adjusted many times. Do cold showers everyday (definitely helps). I went to see a prolotherapy doctor and didn't do it cause I didn't feel I trusted him. He just kept talking over me.
    I definitely have a vagus nerve issue as well and I need this fixed!
    I've tried many diets and ate clean...It's miserable at times, but im living with it. I really miss running and lifting weights and feel and smell like I use too. It's like my whole nervous system is SHOT! 😩

      Hi have you considered trying prolotherapy with a different doctor? How did you get a diagnosis, I have all your symptoms and many more plus severe constant neck pain but no one believes there is anything wrong I get blown off by all the doctors. It's debilitating and I have never been the same since these symptoms began last year:/

      @OliviaNichole❤ I got diagnosed by my cousin, who is a chiropractor and caring medical who are the doctors in Florida. By dmx (digital motion xray) and other tests this did on me. I will be trying another doctor forsure at some point.
      I understand 100% of doctors blowing it off and people not believing etc... That's the most frustrating part to be honest.
      When did they start and did u get sick, or have some sort of head trauma?

      You and I have quite similar symptoms, it seems. My issues began due to whiplash in a rollover car accident 13 years ago. I have an appt next week to complete PRP through Regenexx on my C3/C4/C5 vertebrae, where I have the most instability. I'm hoping it helps because, like you, I've done all sorts of stuff (cold showers - which haven't helped unfortunately, DMX, nerve blocks, adjustments, PT, etc) and probably already spent over $10k in procedures, appointments, etc.
      The most important things in finding a doctor, for me, was to ensure I trust them and that they use guidance (x-ray or ultrasound). Hopefully this helps, as nothing else has :(

    I had a rotator cuff surgery 3 months ago on my left shoulder and I still have a lot of pain. My surgeon suggested visiting a pain management doctor to get a shot on the left side of my neck and prescribed an MRI of my neck. I took the MRI disk to my pain management doctor and he explained that he would give me a shot in the neck. However, when I was ready to get this shot, he gave me a shot in my spin between my shoulder line and my lower back. He said in 3 days the pain should be gone. Well, it is one week and the pain is still there. When I told this to my surgeon, he was surprised and said he should have given this shot to the left side of your neck. Your suggestion? Thanks

    Thanks for posting. I had Prolotherapy done on my shoulder and by the second procedure, I could no longer continue. It threw my body into a heightened state of inflammation. I was inflamed everywhere with aches and pains and exhaustion for several months. I felt that I was on chemotherapy. Last July i came down with a parasympathetic condition and Vagus nerve disorder. My throat, GI tract, blood pressure and cardio system was impaired. I was down to 114lbs. It was terrible. Things didn't turn around until I began to see an AO chiro doctor. I still get spasms in the middle of my chest and have to be on meds and wear a cervical collar on occasion. I wish restorative treatments were covered by insurance. I do need to fix my neck instability.

    Hi Dr does PRP work for loose (lax) shoulder ligaments? Would all the ligaments attached to the capsule be injected ? Would a satisfactory outcome be achieved?

    • @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805
      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prolotherapy of the shoulder using PRP as the injection agent can be very effective at stabilizing a loose shoulder ligaments. To do it properly, you have to inject all the glenohumeral ligaments (specifically the inferior glenohumeral ligament), the capsule and the supporting tendons. It may take 1-3 treatments ~ 4-6 weeks apart for best result. We do this regularly for people who have dislocated their shoulder or people with hypermobility syndrome. I had prp done on neck just below the skull at a diff clinic. Couple injections (no ultra sound needed). Do you think it’s necessary to do whole neck area for someone with headaches , eye muscle pain, neck pain, etc? And do you combine prp and prolo? Or is prp alone sufficient to stiffen neck.

    • @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805
      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      PRP and prolotherapy of the neck is most effective if the entire neck is treated from occiput down to upper thoracic segments). This will help improve the health of the entire spine. The C0-C1 and C1-2 segments should only be treated with image guidance such as X-ray (or ultrasound for C1-2) as this is a dangerous zone with the vertebral artery.

      PRP and prolotheray injections are a good treatment option for cervical radiculopathy. You need to treat the facet joints, supporting ligaments and muscles as well as treat the nerves roots with nerve hydrodissection for best results. Most of the time, you do not need an intradiscal procedure for this.

    There is a hope!! From 2018 I had big migraines (from instability C1-C2 greater occipital nerves), sometimes 3 times in one week, my tongue is little burning. After second session of prolotherapy I don't take ANY painkillers, I don't have ANY migraines. Level of my pain drop from 7,5 to maybe 3 in 5 weeks (for me is game changer, I couldn't believe for this day-its 6 week after first session ). Now I have pain on back of my head (I feel bad pressure and tongue burning), but I hope for better future now :). In Poland I payed 250$ for one session. I know is only beginning of my journey (I need to recover my neck curve-military neck- I will have gentle traction it should help for instability also, my doctor said thaht I should avoid any manipulation), but after some many years in pain, I finally have hope.
    God is good!!! 🙏

      Pain and muscle spasm in the scapula area is often a result of dorsal scapular nerve entrapment and irritation. This nerve originates from C5 and can get entrapped by scar tissue from a C5-6 fusion. Nerve hydrodissections at the neck and shoulder with 5% dextrose work best for such cases. This can often be resolved with several treatments. Please see the nerve hydrodissection section on our website: integrativerehabmedicine.com/treatments-nerve-injections

      Unfortunately, some spinal adjustments can cause a sprain of the ligaments that support the spine. This is rare, but it happens. This can create segmental instability which can cause increased stress on the disc. This can lead to disc tears and herniations. PRP of the spine can heal the injured ligaments and bring back spinal stability. This allows the body to heal the disc and return to normal. PRP may be a good option and an alternative to spine surgery.

      Depending on the severity of the condition, patient may need 2-5 prolotherapy PRP treatments for best results. Also depends on your ability to heal your spine. Prolotherapy with dextrose injections are spaced 4-6 weeks apart, injections with PRP are spaced ~ 8-12 weeks apart (stronger response, longer healing). for more info: integrativerehabmedicine.com/treatments-prolotherapy

      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Prolotherapy of the upper neck can be complex, but it can help significantly with upper cervical instability and occipital neuralgia (occipital headaches). Luckily, the Occipital arteries and veins are very forgiving, if you penetrate one of the vessels, you may get a small bruise, but no other complications, just put pressure on the area to stop the bleeding. If concerned, this can also be done under ultrasound guidance, but often not necessary for most of the occipital injections.

    • @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805
      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Prolotherapy for upper cervical (neck) instability can be applied directly and indirectly. When doing an indirect technique, you inject the capsular and lamina ligaments, the nuchal ligaments of the upper cervical spine (C2-3-4) and the occiput. It is very difficult (and risky) to get a direct effect on C1-2, but you can inject the alar ligament and surrounding ligaments through the front using CT or X-ray guidance. Dr. Centeno in Colorado does this.

      Prolotherapy of the neck carries some potential risks just as any other neck injections. Complications reported include nerve damage, headache, increased pain, infection and there have been reports of spinal cord injury. This procedure needs to be performed by someone with lots of experience, and needs to be performed with image guidance such as ultrasound or x-ray. Image guidance greatly reduces the risks, I use ultrasound for all my procedures. In the right hands, this procedure has less risks than cervical epidural steroid injection or surgery. Over all, it is relatively safe when done correctly. Hope this helps :)

      Prolotherapy and PRP are both great treatments for neck pain and neck (cervical) instability. Prolotherapy is a technique of injecting many ligaments and joints to create stability, decrease neck pain.. Prolotherapy is classically done using dextrose as the agent, but PRP can also be used as the injecting agent (same technique, if done correctly be an experienced physician). PRP makes the procedure more powerful and effective and can decrease the amount of treatments needed (PRP neck injection ~ 2-3 treatments, Prolotherapy neck injections ~ 3-6 treatments). Both are a great alternative to surgery and steroids for any patient with neck pain.

I am miserable, I cannot talk or move without popping and snapping. It is not going away after 2 years, the ND was unapologetic and non-chalantly said to go try stem cells. I think the ligaments tightened up too much or grew into the nerve space, I don't know. Do you know if there is anything I can do? Give it more time? What about stem cells? The popping sound is usually just pressure release from building up in your joint, it might be the case that it was too weak to even do this before but is functioning more after treatment. You usually need more than one as well, at least 3, and if it’s not a good enough result then try going up to PRP and make sure that a high enough concentration is used.
      Good luck with your journey, I’m on the same path myself!

      @@sbro17 Thanks for your response, when I asked the ND why there was suddenyl so much snapping and tightening feeling all around my head and neck etc, he said "that's your ligaments". My understanding is if there is too much prolotherapy or if it's used in someone whose immune system isn't coping - thus the chronic inflammation -, then adding prolotherapy is a bad idea due to making the area too inflamed which caused scarring, scarred ligaments would be hardened and would snap when moving across substructures when tight. I really don't know but that's my suspicion.

      PRP injections of the cervical spine are more potent than dextrose prolotherapy, they do not only thighten the ligaments but stimulate healing and regeneration of all the tissues involved. This works best if combined with specific physical therapy for ROM, manual therapy and laser therapy. You need to maintain controlled range of motion of the spine.

      Prolotherapy and PRP strengthen the ligaments and muscles of the spine along with decrease arthritic inflammation in the facet joints. This will allow the neck muscles to relax and stop guarding the neck. This can help with neck and back stiffness. see the follwing page: integrativerehabmedicine.com/treatments-prolotherapy

    • @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805
      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cervical instability, such as C1-2 atlantoaxial instability, responds very well to prolotherapy and PRP injections. Many of our patients after PRP of the spine wear a brace for at least 1 week or more, this is not as common after dextrose prolotherapy but can be utilized depending on the instability severity. Most people are sore for several days after prolotherapy / PRP injections, but this is not severe and can be controlled with simple Tylenol.

      When doing PRP and prolotherapy injections for neck and back pain, we numb up the area with lidocaine and ropivacaine, this decreases the pain. We also medicate the patients before the procedure. The injections can be uncomfortable but are well bearable. We can also use nitrous oxide gas to help decrease the discomfort.

    How do you make sure you dont inject into a cervical vein or artery collateral thrombogenic PRP ? Especially when injecting without ultrasound guidance.
    I mean theres a 0.1% chance of causing a stroke and ending up in a wheelchair there in theory. For facet joint pain lol.

      cervical PRP injections with ultrasound guidance are safe and effective, this "0.1% chance" is not true. The ultrasound allows us to identify and areas of concern.
      Anyway, PRP has been safely injected in veins and arteries for other treatments without complications.

    Can prolotherapy cause paralysis??????

    • @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805
      @sebastianklisiewiczintegra9805  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prolotherapy of the neck is a relatively safe procedure when performed by trained physicians, especially when it is done with ultrasound needle guidance. Many thousands of neck prolotherapy procedures have been performed over the years, I have heard of only 1 case of temporary spinal cord injury in a patient during a training course in Mexico. This was done by a student, no image guidance, a blood vessel was injected. The patient recovered in 6 months. If you look at other procedures such as epidural injections, prolotherapy and PRP is much safer than cervical epidural injections or surgery.
