Sam you should do, and sell, a hotels and road trip guide for Europe. Some of the places you stay in look fab , coupled with a few events to go to when you’re there with your significant other!

Surprised not to see Phil. Fully expected him to make an appearance. St. Moritz is an incredible place, I visited it a few years back, although you would need to take out a mortgage just to go for a meal and some drinks there. 😅
One of the big reasons for the popularity of this channel almost has nothing to do with cars but Sam himself and the lifestyle side to cars which makes it so entertaining to watch (music is pretty cool too).
I remember being at the Ice in St. Moritz 4 years ago. Was there with my family on a skiing trip and saw an F40 in the distance from a lookout point in the city. I pleaded my parents to let me go have a look. Absolutely amazing. I can also recall a pagani huayra getting stuck in the snow, I even helped push it out.
Made amazing core memories there and it was by far the best event I attended. Class!

What I love about this event just like most others and St. Moritz in general is that you can just blend in, feel awesome and don't need to be super rich yoursel to enjoy it. It is like you said Sam, a world on its own, but open-minded and welcoming!

That Manx cafe is by a funicular station in Pontresina, one town over from St Moritz. Friends of my parents have a cabin up the street from there--like, build by their great grandfather--and we've stayed at their cabin a lot. It's so crazy to see something so familiar pop up in a video like this. I also can't believe there'd be a cool cafe walking distance from that cabin. I'd have loved that. I'd get so bored!
I can't find anything online about this cafe. They guy working there seems to be from the Cresta Palace, a hotel in Celerina, a very pretty, low key, town near St Moritz. But they don't mention it on their website.
Like, the Swiss don't really have cold brew yet, except maybe in Zurich. In pontresina, I asked a server if I could have, in my German, "cold coffee." He said, "well, you can get a hot coffee and wait" which was a very funny come back. I was really bored and starved for familiar coffee culture, not to mention fun things that were walking distance, so as you can see 🤯

THE ICE was super phenomenal event and I am super happy for you being able to stay in Suvretta House, I hope one day :P Had to do a detour to Como to stay overnight. Was able to see you taking turns on the track, looked fun! Only thing I am worried about that next year there will be quite the amount of people and the conditions could become even more complicated for an event like this.

As a swiss that goes skiing in St. Moritz it's so weird seeing Vlogs from a place that is so familiar to me.

I really didn’t expect them to do the event this year. I’ve been to st moritz beginning of January and the lake wasn’t even frozen. With temperatures that high this year, this was surely risky.
Regarding feeling a bit out of place at posh events. As a middle class American, I’ve on occasion gone to exclusive golf courses. When the guy comes to pick up my golf clubs from the car, I have to remind him, “Now sir, do you realize that you are holding nearly $400 worth of golf clubs”? On other occasions, I’ll wrestle him to the ground and make sure that he’s not stealing my stuff.
Quite a great video considering you said you're not sure if you have a video for Sunday on the podcast, I guess we all here appreciate the style and filmography, sometimes I don't even listen too much info because like I can read on Evo about it or watch Carfection/Hagerty (as you said you're not a journalist)
Edit: I see it might sound harsh or something but it's an attempt at a Slavic guy giving a compliment I swear

I realize it is a lot of work to edit and produce these episodes but seriously Sam, this one could have been 30 minutes with more about the hotel, longer shots of the “gas station coffee shop” and of course looking at the cars and I would have watched it twice!

A novel, ridiculous event. But if I had the time and money, I'd probably go to it. It's almost hilarious there was a rich kid called Dickie riding in the pre war Bentley sliding around on the ice. It's such an old money British name.

Your info on the GranTurismo was totally incorrect: it is not a facelift, it's a totally new car. It's absolutely new in its whole design, they've only made it look very much like the previous model. The whole platform, construction, measurements, suspension system, engines, drivetrain, absolutely everything is new (unfortunately the UI is also a new, horrible touchscreen-heavy design).
That parking lot looks like a daily scene in Beijing 😄

I think everybody should see the recent post on youtube regarding the JENSEN FF V FERRARI FF going to St Moritz where the Jensen scores massivly over the Ferrari in terms of styling comfort safety thats a 1971 v the latest Ferrari !! Rather says something about today's so called supercars when the original Supercar being the Jensen is still ranked the best !
