@@thelittlemanfromthedraftbo6805 he fought the Chameleon on his own. Back then comic stories were about 10-15 pages long, so a 40 page meant three shorter stories in one book. The first was about Spider-man dealing with J Jonah Jameson for the first time, the second was about him trying to join the FF, and the last story he faces off against Chameleon who was trying to frame him.
I just figured something out. The Chameleon's name is Dmitriy, and Kraven's pet tiger is named Dima, short form of Dmitriy. He named the tiger after his brother!

Honestly I figured it out like halfway through the target missions because Peter said something along the lines of “Are they all the same person or something?” and my mind immediately went “OH SNAP THEY’RE FINALLY GETTING CHAMELEON INVOLVED!!!”
Yeahhhh the moment I heard his voice I immediately realized what was going on because of the DNA hint
This side mission was creepy as heck.

@scripton_yt Depends on how you play it. For me is not. I finished this mission and still haven't reach the end yet.
@@scripton_ytNo. You unlock the mission thread that leads up to this after you finish “Stay Positive”, the mission where you have to keep Harry safe as he works on the cure for the Lizard. I know many people think it would be done after the end because of Chameleon’s dialogue here.
A slight oversight on Insomniac’s part is that Chameleon still says that line about avenging his brother even if you complete this side mission thread before the end of the game. Some will claim that this “spoils the end”, but the game hints multiple times at Kraven’s fate before this if you pay attention or know anything about Kraven in general (particularly the most famous storyline with him). That said, Peter’s dialogue (and presumably for Miles too if you do this mission with him) to the revelation of Chameleon and Kraven being brothers is different if you do this before or after Kraven’s death.

I would love for this game to get two expansion stories the size of Miles Morales. First expansion deals with Carnage as it adapts the Maximum Carnage story. While the second adapts the story about Peter’s parents, Chameleon was mentored by the man who murdered Peter’s parents. Perhaps an espionage story which could rap up that loose thread from the first game and bring back Silver Sable.

@@Artimus_Prime what I mean by DLCs is expansions similar to Miles Morales. That’s where I think the studio should go with this. The big team is focused on building the 3rd main game while smaller teams build out an release these expansions to wet our appetite before the last game.

@@Artimus_Prime okay sure, but the point stands. Insomniac likes to tell tighter stories with their game, and honestly I understand why. This game’s story is well paced, takes its time build characters, world build that it flows seamlessly. I have to be honest, the story has more emotional impact, epic moments and flows better than any of the Batman Arkham games.
So if Insomniac wants to develop a few bonus standalone games in order to tell a fantastic final chapter. I’m all in, more Spidey content from this universe is a bonus in my book.
Something tells me Chameleon is going to play a big role in the third game.

@@titan_tanker Depends on the material. He’s no warrior, but he and Kraven have both taken potions to be strong and youthful in the comics.
I could see him as a side mission, or maybe as part of the DLC story since those they’d to be lower stakes. Chameleon isn’t much of a fighter, even against a normal person with a baseball bat, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t play as a Spider (at least not in costume) whilst confronting him.

DLC Will be Carnage and Chameleon 100% to wrap the thing done about Kraven and Venom. Next game is Green Goblin and Doc octupus. Since the whole city, fight mechanics and engine are already done, maybe we will get the next game in 2025/2026

2028 is probably more realistic, both games got announced 2 years before it come out and released 5 years apart, trailers and announcements will happen around 2025/2026 but based off everything they’ve done, the game would more than likely release in 2028 when the PS6 is around

@@Dachin55555he does but the next game looks stacked no matter what. Doc Ock and Green Goblin both confirmed in post credits, two of the best spider man villains. Carnage will be a DLC for sure, it would be too much to have Spider-Man’s arch nemesis, Former father figure and another symbiote in a different game all as the antagonists. They’ll keep the symbiote storyline to this game and carnage will be the final DLC

Chameleon is the most dangerous and violent villain for Spidey next to Green Goblin on a personal level. Unlike his other arch nemesis Venom, Doc Ock and Goblin he's not that popular.

What i like is unlike the comics, Chameleon actually loved his brother and wanted what was best for him. Chameleon is usually one note or deranged, but hearing him try to repair his family is something i can sympathize with. And Chameleon blaming Spiderman for his death makes him a more personal enemy than he ever has been. I really hope the dlcs finish this story. Chameleon is often forgotten because hes a product of marvels really early days. But insomniac is really making him interesting

It’s actually the same guy who voiced Kraven, with a difference in pitch.
Actually, I might know who the Chameleon is in the game. Most of the times you help an injured person get to an ambulance, it is the same character model - older Hispanic man with a wrinkled face, hoodie, and wireless earphones. Could be just lazy programming, “designated victim” for such encounters. Or might be our boy studying Spidey’s moves for future conflicts.

I realized something a while back, going back to the scene where MJ was in the tunnel with symbiote Peter, while Miles was fighting off Kraven’s goons. Remember the guy who was about to fall off the crane and then stuck Miles with the sedative after Miles saved him? I think that was the chameleon. The game made it a point to reference him later when Miles said, “who was that guy that knocked me out?”

First of all you can do this mission during the main story. Second Miles is only the main spider man. Peter will still Spider man on occasion.

I think Marvel comicbooks Chameleon is already better Supervillain/villain than DC comics Riddler, Joker, and Hush.
My opinions of Chameleon is that he is a C-Teir Villain next to Electro. I never really feel like he fits perfectly with other Spider-Man rouge gallery.

I watched the -5 hour video of movie cutscenes and was talking about how it would be funny if Chameleon was here. Posing as J. Jonah Jameson or even Norman Osborn while Norman is the Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3.

I haven't come across a side mission related to this character. How to find this mission?
There are robot drones across the city. You have to tag behind the drones with your web wings in order to collect data from the drones. Once it reaches 100 percent you can destroy the drones. Once you do all of them you are given the location to Chameleons apartment.

There is a side mission where you chase robot birds around the city collecting data on Kravens newest target. It seems you are chasing multiple entries until you figure out all the targets have the same DNA.
