Totally agree with your 1rst and second place selections. As live acts Stones pull it off with flying colors as per their recorded music. The Who can't be touched as a heavy unpredictable force that stole the show at every important and life changing impact. Just remember Monterey Pop, Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, Woodstock Art and Music Fair, and The Isle of Weight for musical proof. But the 3 shows performed at MSG that hot summer in late 1973 is untouched and pure rock and roll swagger but never duplicated by nobody ever. Zepp as a live act 68 to 73, is pure magic and just got weaker and less life altering experiences as they progressed foward But those 3 nights in 73 at MSG, might have been worth Page's life altering visit to the crossroads in early 1968. s@@nilserikjakobsen6969

Saw them in 73. My ears were ringing for days. They covered the stage with dry ice during "No Quarter". The actual building on the cover of "Physical Graffiti" has one more story than the photo on the cover. The guy on the cover of Zep 4, is not Peter Grant. Robert found this photo in a store in York, of a 19th. century English witch (cunning man), said to be one George Pickingill. 1816 - April 10, 1909. 92 years. Zep 3 had these two Freemason sayings on the runoff, near the paper label, on the original records. Written by Page himself.
"Do What Thou Wilt", on one side and "So Mote It Be" on the other. As a sly message to the music critics. Steinway To Heaven -jpj

The most hidden fact is recordings of Robert Plant's original vocal style. You'll never hear it. First record I ever bought was the Guess Who. I confused them with what I really wanted; The Who. Then I got the Rod Stewart album with Maggie May. Then Led Zep 3. In 1973 I began college as a Music major. So I was loaded with rock and pop music, but everyone wanted me to teach them Stairway to Heaven. But personally it was Page's acoustic playing that most impressed me. I did drop Zepplin by the time Queen came out and never bought any of the Satan symbolism BS.

Elvis connections were very interesting! 1) That's not Robert's voice at the very end of "The Crunge." Stark difference in vocal tamber. I'm guessing Jones or Page? 2) Rolling Stones may have grossed as much, if not more, in the span of their career than Led Zep. 3) Next time maybe include Plant's Tolkien LOR references in "Ramble On?" 4) Maybe link references in Spinal Tap film with a road manager who always goes around with a bat? Grant was a menacing bull dog and his intimidation helped get the band up to the front of lines.

Dig the horrible AI narration. Nothing here that a Zeppelin fan wouldn’t already have known. Not very interesting even if you have never heard anything about LZ. Sorry…

"Rappers" blatantly steal actual recordings by countless musicians (they call it 'sampling"), and I don't recall any lawsuit hysteria about that.

@@broeheemed32those lawsuits were because of how Led Zeppelin’s fame skyrocketed, other then a few words or a couple chords, the songs sounded nothing alike. So many of their best songs, were all their own creative genius. The majority of people never would have heard, the songs they did sample, if not for Led Zeppelin. They definitely did those songs Justice, it’s not like they made horrible songs out of them, Led Zeppelin are the best at the Blues. What I find funny those who bitch about that, or call Page sloppy, like bands not even near being in Zeppelin’s league.

@@sicotshit7068 Yep. Those that accuse Jimmy Page of playing "sloppy" at the peak of their career (like in 1972-1973) refer to the fact that at a Led Zeppelin show, they never gave it to you the same way twice, and rarely did they just play the "studio" arrangement. They improvised all over the place, turned a 4-minute song into a 12-minute song, and a lot of what Page was playing he didn't even know he was going to play until the moment he played it. Those that criticized would be happier at an Eagles concert, where it was demanded by Henley that every song was played note-for-note like the studio cut.
