Sir make one video on IAAS, I live in Ambala Cantt, I have seen all these facilities which are given to IDES. I met with a lot of times with IDES & IDAS. But the only deal breaker is promotion which are too slow in comparison to most of the Civil services.

Regarding what was mentioned about the dearth of exposure of litigation in IRS (at least for IT); that's untrue. "Tribunal" charge is an important charge manned by an IRS in which the officer more or less works as a lawyer and defends the case in question. Quite gruelling few months for sure.

Sir, I've one question regarding the job posting of the IDES officer as A.G.E, G.E, and CW. I've few interactions with these ranking officials, they're also IDES officers.

My question is do these factors (bungalow, vehicle, etc) matter in the long run, since the charm tends to fade away no matter how much it was, in other words, what keeps you motivated/going in this service, "the charm/facilities or the work profile"?
The answer is mostly YES. If you make 1.5 lakh per month in a private Job and you want the lifestyle of an IDES or IAS officer then you'll have to shell out 1lakh at least (as That big job will be in a big city) a luxurious flat like the Service Bungalows will not come at less rent. 60-70K rent you'll have to give for similar accomodation. Then for full time Servants you'll have to shell out another 20-30K. So in effect you'll be saving 50K. Whereas all these facilities are free in services and you'll be saving 80-90K. The respect is totally another factor. P.s.(Before getting angry on such huge rental kindly do check the Rental in Metro cities for 4-5bhk lixury apartments)

Bhai UPSC conducts a different exam called ESE to select IES officers.
where as UPSC conducts CIVIL services exam to select IAS,IPS,IRS
To put it simply both exams are different
