Everyone has opportunities of getting paid sabbatical leave on educational ground. But there is a little trick. It should be related to work or if govt thinks the knowledge will help the officer in functioning. Then only it will be granted. It depends on states too. Some state may resist you even to get deputation in central govt. some state will easily leave you for central deputation or study leave.
सबकी आंखे खोलने के लिये धन्यवाद ..! 100% accurate. When an IAS officer with 8-10 years service goes on central deputation to Delhi, they generally have to take an auto or taxi and are not given a car (even though they may have been a district collector before that and had a fleet of cars and jeeps at their disposal). At that stage in that role, they face the same transportation problems faced by any member of the public. Similarly when they go on deputation to national agencies in any state, they may only get a shared vehicle many times which is shared by several senior officers. These benefits are not comparable to the comfort enjoyed by a district collector who gets a dedicated car, lives in a 'collector's bungalow' (usually palatial houses built during the British era), has a cook and several peons to help him/her, and a 'collector's peshi' who take care of all the clerical work. Some IAS/IPS officers go on deputation to foreign countries where, at most, they get government subsidized accommodation, but no other benefit they would get at the district level. Even as a secretary to government, the size of office room they get in the state secretariat varies greatly. For some 'not-so-stellar' postings in the state secretariat, they get a super-small office room with bare-minimum space to put a table and some chairs, while in some 'high profile' postings within the state secretariat, their office room may resemble a maharajah's durbar. It all varies and nothing is ever a constant. The only thing that stays is that they are always respected as an IAS/IPS officer (sometimes even this varies by the posting one is in...an industries secretary in a state gets a huge amount of attention and respect than, for instance, a state fisheries department head...both of whom are generally IAS officers; same thing in the IPS...IPS officers are sometimes posted as head of the state sports department or state printing and stationery department where they get relatively less attention compared to if they are posted as SP or Commissioner of Police). As Gaurav rightly said, you cannot choose IAS/IPS just seeing the exaggerated accounts of 'lal batti gadi' etc. This is not always the reality.
Main aapki baat se agree hu lekin aajkal dm ke baad bhi kafi accha bunglow allot ho jata hai sab manage karke chalte hai ye ho sakta hai ki dm jaisa nhi lekin facility sab ias ko acchi milti hai maine jaipur har level ke officer ko acche bunglows me rahte hue dekha hai kuch ko agar nhi mile baat alag hai

Advantage of a bigger bungalow, no of cars, helpers is always with IAS officer as compared to any other service. 4) When you’re an IAS officer posted in state Govt, at director or commissioner level, you are the head of the department. Similarly, you can be the senior most secretary of any state ministry and head it. This privilege of heading a ministry and department is with IAS, because in any other service, until retirement you cannot head the department. While a DGP or PCCF will get to head their department one or two year before their retirement.

Sir i always remember that power comes with pressure! The much you need, the much you have to work for it! If someone simply wanna simple life so they can do it by 9-5 job and a lot of unnecessary compromises. I know IAS is a tough job but it gives a self satisfaction that in my life I had not only work for my self but also I helped society and marginalised people. And this reason is enough to join civil service. And everything is not about powers and perks, sometimes we intentionally want to work for the public. 😊 thank you so much for always breaking stereotypes regarding to this service.
but u can't do anything if u r higher officer or say politician is corrupt. even after studying or say struggling for so long after u attain a post, u r just a slave to the person who is not even properly educated 😂.all u will get is a whole lot of transfer which will affect u r family life and your kids life too they can't focus on anything properly. telling u this because my dad is a central govt officer. many people help others even without the post and perks.
@@adityanair1001 agreed! But tell me, who didn't work hard? Who didn't struggle for their goal? There are some continuos myths that IAS is a slave of politicians but who are completely free to not be a slave? Actually everyone is someone's slave! Talking about politicians, So they are bound to lick public's shoe! I chose to join this service! and every service has some loopholes! Thats why the exam is so tough because they know, that this service is all about pressures and I am ready to be a part of this😊
@@aparnakushwaha1 see problem is not with doing hard work. Problem is with doing immoral work. And that will really break u r soul, if u r sincerely entering in to upsc to help people as u said in the above paragraph. U will be shattered to see all u will get for u r hard work and sincerity is bunch of transfers that's what I meant. India's current corruption ranking is 86th. So it is obvious that politicians and higher officers are not dharmatma, i don't deny the fact their aren't none. But ya very few. I hope u got my point
@@aparnakushwaha1 hopefully you’ll remember what you said before becoming a civil servant madam. Kindly keep up with that. Many such marginalized people are still in the same margin and going downwards being helpless. Internet’s following a trend that I’ll do this and I’ll do that before reaching that post. Look at people like Amstrong Pame sir, Dr. Samit Mishra, Smitha Sabharwal ma’am,U Sagayum sir, Ashok Khemka sir, Vinod Rai sir, Durishetty sir, Gaurav Agarwal sir, Shikha madam, and quite a handful of list of officers out of lakhs of officers. More of actions and less talk. ATB for your intentions hope you succeed in your say.🌸 Also stop hyping up a post, all hierarchy of people Working has it’s own importance in serving the nation, no service is inferior or superior, period they’re doing they’re respective jobs sensibly.

but u can't do anything if u r higher officer or say politician is corrupt. even after studying or say struggling for so long after u attain a post, u r just a slave to the person who is not even properly educated 😂.all u will get is a whole lot of transfer which will affect u r family life and your kids life too they can't focus on anything properly. telling u this because my dad is a central govt officer. many people help others even without the post and perks.
ATB for your intentions hope you succeed in your say.🌸 Also stop hyping up a post, all hierarchy of people
Working has it’s own importance in serving the nation, no service is inferior or superior, period they’re doing they’re respective jobs sensibly.
Baat Sahi hai...but unpad politician k niche kaam Karna apdtha hai
