A-maize-ing video! I skipped some parts again so I enjoy exploring them myself but as per usual I'll come back to it. I actually re-watched the money making tips right before the fall and went full bread production. I planted wheat every day so I can harvest every day without stop and make money. The good news is it did work, I have money (had--already spent it), the bad news is I've been spending all my day watering the wheat, making flour at the mill till night and then running like crazy to make the bread and sell it before 2am.. My days currently in mid-fall are crazy, I hardly talk to the NPCs or do quests. I'm just pumping bread all day. Thank goodness sometimes it rains and with also the raining spell I have some relief breaks.. I usually just play alone and don't talk to anyone about gaming in real life, but sometimes I'm trying to imagine how I would go answering the question, "what are you doing in the game that you seem to enjoy so much"? How would I go explaining my mass bread production scheme to normal people? What would they think of me? Am I a normal person? I remember when I was playing my first farm sim--Stardew--I was enjoying each and every interaction, it was relaxing, a soothing experience.. Where did I go wrong... Anyway, sorry for the whatever comments I'm always leaving, I'm just having fun saying silly stuff I'm thinking at that moment and maybe helping the video with the recommendations. I hope the algorithm doesn't go too harsh on you!
I recently completed fall in year 2 and SAME with the wheat grind!! Then mid fall I decided to hit up the mines and I haven't talked to NPCs for 1 month+ :') adding onto what you said in a past video, thankfully the cap is only at 4 hearts because if it was any higher a part of my soul would die along with my social life in Mistria. The gaming community on TH-cam and other platforms has gotchyu. We know all about getting that bread in this money-making scheme & I hope the money you once had was money well spent. 💖 I love talking out loud about this game outside of the videos, because non-normal is more fun anyways~ Don't ever apologize for the comments! It makes me super happy you're one of the first repeat commentors/supporters and it's these types of interactions that help amp me up for future potential livestreams/let's play videos and breaking into more cozy/unfiltered types of gameplay vs. calculated :)
@@jinxedmoth Thank you for your kind words! ❣ If you enjoy talking out loud about the things you like, I can see why you'd want to do livestreams and more unfiltered types of gameplay as you say. I actually watch lots of livestreams and let's play videos that are less structured. If you don't mind I can share some of my perspective on it and my experience as a viewer. Currently, after work I'm very exhausted mentally. It's rare for me to be in a mood to play something completely by myself. Also having some nice company is most of the times better than doing it alone. So it's much likely and nicer for me to watch someone else go through a game. That way, I can relax my mind, enjoy the game and have some company along the way! But I have to say, a lot of times I feel like that let's plays and livestreams are hit-or-miss because they're centered to the creator. There is no way I would watch a 2 hours video of someone I don't like or enjoy. The feelings of ignoring the content are strong. For smaller structured content that's not the case, at least on this level. Usually in these shorter videos you share something specific in a structured way and a goal in mind, so the content is first and then it's you (I talk about the feeling when watching). So with livestreams and let's plays I think you have to give them the care and personality of the audience that you want to have. For example, I am personally more into cozy, relaxing commentary. I find it also very enjoyable when the person who plays the game actually enjoys the game and doesn't force themself into playing, which can happen but people can see it if you don't enjoy something 🙂. The point is with longer commentary videos I believe, especially in the cozy communities, the feelings of comfortableness, coziness and trust with the audience as well as you being yourself and enjoying the process are very necessary. For example I have only a couple of people that I watch livestreams and longer let's plays. And I know I'll have a good time no matter the game or thing they choose to do. So that makes me more regular viewer. I can't explain it better, but that's what I mean by trust, if that makes any sense at all. Also an idea that just came through my mind, to boost the channel, I think at least, is to upload some short videos. These tips and tricks are the best for this type of content. No over-exaggeration or anything, just fast to the point tips with some cozy background music and nice editing with a little humor. Creating quality content without sacrificing your personality for the trends(not talking about trending games but more generally, if I expand on every thing I say, the comment will be huuge) helps a lot to develop trust and have more people enjoy watching you. Also shorts can act like an introduction to some people for your content, like a glimpse of what vibes they can expect from you, before they choose to watch your longer videos and streams. Interacting with the community is probably very important at the beginning (except if you are blessed by the algorithm, i don't know...), so you could try make posts in the community tab on youtube, maybe tease a little bit on what you're working on, make a silly poll, ask for feedback or ideas. And if you don't get likes or comments, it's good to remember and not worry because only a small percentage of people are the ones that leave comments and interact back, just look at the views / likes / comments ratio. Just by looking at that ratio (likes > comments) you can make some useful assumptions, for example that making a post asking for feedback will get less interaction (comments) than a poll that you provide with 3 options and ask what they prefer. Anyway, a bit unnecessary to write this whole thing but I already got invested and since I had some time I went full nerd mode ✨ I assumed a lot about your intentions with the channel but these are just some of my thoughts maybe to sparkle some ideas in you, dunno ✨
Not silly and not unnecessary at all. I take all this feedback to heart, and the coolest thing is when you posted this, I was talking to my partner about the same thing last night and we were brainstorming future ideas. I already have a lot of ideas, but I get "mad scientist energy" and sometimes need to tap into that and let the idea fly vs stuffing it into a corner for the future. I was also looking at the community tab option last night in between the time of our comments 👀 So yet again-- we're riding the same brainwave & I'm planning on posting up a poll later today! 💖 As for shorts-- it's something I want to do as well. I think they're great for people who like bite sized info & you raised a lot of good points that this can absolutely be used as an introduction to the longer form content. I plan on tapping into this but not sure when.. because I anticipate that'll be a learning curve as well (right now the biggest beast I'm facing is the audio. I used to podcast and used Adobe Audition because it was free through work and I LOVED how easy it was to edit all my audio in one place without plug-ins. Now, I'm working with Davinci and my GPU sometimes says "nah, girl, we won't render that/give you hella lag for audio 😇") That was a totally separate brain tab lol but back onto the point-- I'm training myself on a new workflow to make audio quality consistent and wrote/recorded THREE scripts yesterday to "train my brain" that this new approach is what to take each time to get that right "formula" in quality for now. Shorts will definitely be the same approach... if you couldn't tell, I'm a very step-by-step person 😂 But back onto the note with livestreams, I totally agree with you. For me, I watch longer playthroughs because someone usually has an agenda & I'm looking for a cozy time/funny challenge, OR they have a super nice voice I can fall asleep to. ANYWAYS~thanks for taking this time to write out all your thoughts and your own little tips and tricks guide for a channel that's currently focusing on guides :) It was nice to wake up to before I get into some workflow -- it was like a little extra charge while waiting for the caffeine to hit. and now it hit so.. jadfh83q457qtghfklsadjf2354wrsdkld (going to edit and think about some polls and shorts now) 💖☕

I've found that the best way to make gold is the 100 shiny beads and free cooked item from farming. I just gotta figure out what veggie or fruit is used in the best cooked item.. There's a ton of food ingame. 130+something
I know! We're on the same brainwave there because I really just want to take a few hours to map out the most profitable items based on raw ingredients, time, and profit when it's cooked... but maybe that's more ambitious than I'm leading myself to believe😵
@@jinxedmoth xD yeah definitely. It would take a while since first I gotta unlock all of them o_o and I'm not even sure how to get non store bought recipes in mass
@@jinxedmoth I've found that most recipes sell for less or barely more than selling their combined ingredients separately, this case is even worse when taking into account potentially buying sugar or wheat (which is a whole other nitpick I have because buying and milling sugar cane is much more expensive than just buying it from the general store). But, recipes that use only one ingredient always sell for the same or slightly more than just selling it raw, (eg. Grilled corn, sliced turnip, green tea). This is especially good when you unlock the essence upgrades that give you a chance to preserve ingredients and potentially make double the amount of dishes, allowing you to basically increase your profit margins for free. (You do have to sell one of each produce to get a mailed recipe associated with them however [This includes the grilled corn and sliced turnips])

I just started really playing/grinding this game & I love the info you put out! I will say I’m slightly irritated bc I fished everyday, multiple areas a day and couldn’t find the last pond and river fish I needed for fall. 😢 like literally everyday.
Thank you so much! Actually, this comment is super helpful because I recently discovered a few very helpful tips for fishing that haven't been on any other guide or YT video-- so I'll prioritize getting this video up in the next week or so! But just to make your fishing easier until then: You can run back and forth between the Eastern road and Celine's cottage to quickly respawn river and pond fishies to make it easier vs. hitting up multiple areas :)
There's a few that come to mind-- I plan on touching on this in future videos as well! Since resources tend to go fairly quick in FoM, I'd recommend starting out with crafting recipes that use minimal resources/are easy to obtain & level up quickly if you make a bunch (like regular wood and hardwood for fences, or stone pathways). Keep an eye on craftables that you'd like to decorate your farm with-- that way when you reach that new crafting level and are able to make that item, you're putting your resources to good use and leveling up based on what you want VS. solely using those materials on a lower-level recipe just to level up. I made this mistake earlier on with furniture and ended up not using that furniture as I unlocked more recipes over time... and ended up needing the materials that I used for new recipes, like sap. Hopefully that makes sense-- I just keep an eye on easy recipes that don't use much & look ahead for recipes that I really want and build as I go. Hope this helps! :)
