Okay I'm done reading these "Coulson didn't die" comments. Just sick of it.
He was resurrected. Loki killed him, SHIELD fixed his body and restarted his brain. Not elegant, or pretty, or easy, he seriously wanted to stay dead (on this one point he could honestly sympathize with Thanos), but he was resurrected.
So AGENT COULSON DIED! They resurrected him. Get over it.
No he didn't get fixed cause that God awful show doesn't count.

Agents of SHIELD does count. It is part if the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Your personal feelings on that subject count for squat.

A company does NOT spend millions of dollars an episode on a show in which a continuing subplot is one of your main people died and was resurrected.
"Fanon" would be like what is Nick Fury doing now, or what is Lore doing when he isn't f'ing with Data and the Enterprise crew.
Also AoS was declared part of the MCU, when the show started and that has not changed. As if explaining why Coulson really can not be directly involved with the other Marvel Superheores right now, tying the show directly to the events in Cap2, wasn't enough.
I'm not a diehard for the show, but I try to be clear on what is going on and what it is.
You denying it doesn't change what it is. Whether you like or hate the show, changes nothing.
It's not that he died its that WatchMojo a didn't have the common decency to show him blowing Loki away with the gun

The detective going up the stairs in alfred hitchcocks psycho was still the most unexpected thing I've ever seen. It still gives me goosebumps well between that and the end when they find the "mother"

Judi Denny’s dementia was getting worse and remembering lines was getting harder and harder. They killed her off to give her an unambiguous departure from the show before she was unable to continue with it.

Collin Ferrell (I think that's his name.) in "Minority Report". That shocked me the first time I saw that movie. It was just like Spacey's death in "L.A. Confidential".

Phil Coulson died in the Avengers and then was revived days later by personal order of Nick Fury using a Cree (Ronin's species from Guardians of the Galaxy) blood serum and horrible operations. But he was dead and did die.
Well actually no, not in the movie. Fury said that Coulson was somewhat well and alive after his inspirational speech thing. And since this is a list related to Movies only thats kind of a mistake.
In the Agents of Shield series Coulsin is dead for 4 days, then takes a reviving drug which saves another Shield agent. It is also a very nasty process reviving him.
None of that ever happened cause that show does not exist. He's dead get over it.
Robert Longo Well I'm not familiar with the series but the point stands. This list is strictly related to Movies so what happened in the series doesn't really count.
I don't think hes dead because in agents of shield he was dead for only a few days and revived after.
Why are people so pissed off that Coulson is on this list? The title clearly reads MOVIE deaths. And did he die in the movie (The Avengers)? Yes, he did.
And sure he's alive now in the Marvel Universe. But that doesn't make him not dead in The Avengers. Most of the people who commented on this probably never saw the entire first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in which it's completely explained that he in fact was dead. I won't spoil the reason why he's alive for people who still want to watch the first season. But the list is right.

One death I wasn't expecting was Hollom's from Master and Commander. After being ridiculed by the crew for supposedly cursing the ship by being a Jonah, he fell into a state of depression, and ended his own life and the curse, by jumping off the side with a cannonball.

Okay to everybody saying that Coulson is alive, Yes he is alive but he did DIE in the avengers and he STAYED DEAD for a couple of days until they managed to bring him back from the dead as we learned in The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D series. So he is qualified for this list.

I don’t want to spoil it, but there is a certain Safdie brothers film with a very surprising death and the very end. Those who know what I mean know all to well what it was like to first watch that film. I saw it in theaters and loved watching the whole audience recoil and gasp in utter shock

The Stewart family in "The Others" (same thing as "The Sixth Sense" where they were always dead but didn't know it)

My dad is not easily shocked, but the twist ending of The Sixth Sense shocked him like nothing else. One of the few films made by M. Night Shyamalan that I would watch again.
