this was such a great movie an for years after it came out people would randomly say feed me seymore . the cast in the movie was so well chosen that it made it a classic . love the work done on the miniature's . as a model builder an diorama builder seeing an hearing how the true makers of movie magic went about creating the effects just makes my hobby all much more fun . i look forward to each of your videos an pass them on to all sights that love an appreciate the hard work done to make movies an tv shows so fun
I helped build the Audreys at the the Orpheum in nyc back in the day. The test audiences from the first cut of the musical film version were so saddened by the ending that they had to rewrite. The model work was fantastic. I still have a vhs black & white somewhere.
I have to say, when I heard about the original ending to this picture, I was dumbfounded. Then saw the behind the scenes pictures of that end sequence amazes me to no end. Because all the work that went into it just to have it cut from the final product.
I would have never thought that scene with the bridge was a miniature. I thought it was some forced perspective or they somehow cut the plant onto a photo.
Some of the best miniature work to be ever captured on film and the producer and studio decided to cut it. Sure the crew was paid but part of the appeal of such work is to see it on the big screen and sharing it with the masses. Finally, it’s a calling card to get future work. One of the biggest cinematic shames of the 1980’s. 5 million $ worth.
Thanks for sharing these unsung heroes' amazing work!
This is so wonderful.
I love Little Shop of Horrors.
That finale is amazing.
Brings back memories. I had forgotten the plant and the bridge scenes.
bc it was cut out of the movie? 🙂 (yeah, sad)

I wish you would re-release a Blu-ray version of the documentary.
It's too long now. Over 18 hours. And I am adding more!

I know about 'always leave them wanting more' but these videos are always so short!
