Hallo, die Steinplatte die Du verwendet hast, ist das gewöhnlicher Schiefer? Das Fügen der beiden Einzelteile des Halters durch die Lochung, geschieht das letztendlich durch Formschluss oder wurde "geschweißt" ? Top Video und eine äußerst schöne Schmiedearbeit.
You use a fairly aggressive drawing die like some use flat dies. Very efficient. I have copied your fireplace tools using a similar technique. But alas. I am not nearly as good.

If you have room in your shop, build one. Motors are inexpensive and available at places like Tractor Supply Company. You can use lawnmower belts and pulleys. Pillow block bearings can be found in most hardware stores. The only serious trouble I had was figuring out the size of the spring I needed and how to make the anvil. If you haven't yet, go to Anvilfire dot com and have a look at the gallery of power hammers. Some are easier to build than others, but if you have the room and know how to weld you can do it. My shoulder has thanked me many times. :)

Hej Edgar , es geht bald weiter. Die Elchjagd beginnt erst im Oktober, habe aber die Tage eine schönen Rehbock geschossen.

Da kannst du ja auch was schönes machen aus dem Geweih und den Knochen von dem Bock.
Freu mich schon drauf, wenn es wieder weiter geht!
