  • Robb at Thak ironworks reached out and asked if I wanted to participate in his 2020 chess set challenge, making a pawn for him. My brain started to spin and after a couple of days work I came up with this creature!

The thing I love about your videos is that you present blacksmithing as a calm and almost relaxing thing and that you never get into a hurry with it.

@@SuperAWaC I wasn't talking about the deeper meaning of every piece and how a simple pawn is important. I meant that pawns are less complicated VISUALLY than for instance a bishop and you know that ;)

    • @SuperAWaC

@@SuperAWaC Well, in a standard chess set, that's completely right. But we're not talking here about standard chess set are we now? Personally I didn't come here to talk about that, if I wanted to I'd go to a video about normal chess ;) I'm here to see a blacksmith at work, and I'm looking forward to see the next artistic interpretations of the rest of the chess pieces and how they will portray they in a way to show their "rank"

THAK asked for pawns no more than 2 by 2 inches. But this piece would be an add on. They said if they got more than 16 pawn pieces, they would work then in some way.

Did you know? Those lumps on the shell of turtles are not natural, but instead they are formed due to lack of nutrients on their nutrition. When the animal is healthy, the shell is smooth. The lumps can't be undone, though, even when the nutrition is corrected.
