Great work, so much more accessible when brought like this than with the amazing production values that the guys at Elevation have. For a smaller praise band this gives a far better intro, thank you. You sang and played it beautifully and I can see how we could use this in our context where previously I really struggled.
Please don’t ever stop making tutorials! You don’t realize how many people learn songs from you and then lead a worship group and so many people praise God through you! He uses you so amazing. Please make a tutorial on this song!
Can’t stop listening to this version; I love it so much- thank you for using your gifts to bless us. This song is a special one, and I am truly blessed by your vocal and instrumental gifts!
I love the way you use easier chords but still keep a rich - if not richer sound than many others I watch. You are my go to for any guitar tutorials. God bless you !!!!
Great song and awesome cover. I suggest doing a cover of the song Gratitude by Brandon Lake. That song has been on my heart for a while and would love to see you guys do that song
I was just searching on how to play this on guitar. Thank you so much! Yep, you nailed it alright. And that's a comfortable key for me as well. Love it!
I've heard a song the other day ,hadn't it in a long time ,,it's called nothing more by hokus pic a long time ago but would be a great expression of devotion I would love to hear you and Nick cover ,,blessings
What happened to the face of your guitar? Is that the result of removing a pick guard? Or is that that looks pretty cool? Definitely something for conversation. Song sounds great!
Thanks! It's mostly so I could mic the acoustic rather than record it direct in. If I mic the acoustic and vocal in the same take, then when I tune the vocals, it makes the acoustic sound like there is a chorus effect on because the tuning will change the acoustic that gets capture in the vocal mic as well. Recording things separately is always the cleanest/best way to record something - at least in my own personal experience. We actually shot a vlog/behind-the-scenes video on the recording of this track that will upload tomorrow. It goes into way more detail.
@@worshiptutorials MUCH respect for your cover of this beautiful song! MUCH MORE respect for taking the time to give a detailed response to this question. Bless you, Brian.

Hey Brian. I think you did a really good job as always , but I definitely would change the second chord on your intro and first part of verses on your chord diagram. You’re not doing a C/G You’re actually doing a Gsus4.. You’re replacing the open B for a C.. If you were doing a C/G In order to call it a C you would have to have The third in the chord.. So you would either have to have the D string second finger down playing the E or you would have to have the open E String.. But the way you’re playing it the notes are GDGCG.. Which is a Gsus4.. Now you are right that the actual chord that Elevation Worship is using is a C/G But that’s not the chord you’re playing.. and yes I know Elevation Worship actually does it in the key of D-flat but I’m just stating the chords based on the shapes you’re using for the key of A that you are in.
I typically use D’Addario XT or Elixir Nanoweb acoustic strings. Sometimes Martin SP’s. All Phosphor Bronze. I honestly can’t remember what’s on this guitar right now. Probably either Martin or D’Addario.
I played a Gsus chord, but that’s not technically what the chord of the song is. However, on acoustic you can play the Gsus and it will sound just fine. It’s most important that the bass player play the correct root of the chord there. I go over it in more detail in the tutorial, which will upload soon. The G and B strings (mainly playing the C on the B string) is what is most important for that chord.
The Savior of all men. Especially those who believe.
The only thing I would change is the lyrics of "a" savior to "the" Savior.
I just did this for my Sunday service last week
Uh man listening to this give me an ease about my anxiety coz I have exams comin' up, hope I will go through! Amen.
Thanks Bryan🤘

Love this song sooo much! 👏
What a great version of this song. Thank you. That guitar rocks the house even with the missing pick guard
Very well done, exactly how a worship song should be performed.

Awesome version Mr. Wahl! Sounds much better than the capo 1/C F Am version I found. Thank you! Looking forward to the tutorial!
Amazing! I’ve always wanted to get to this song played exactly this way! And you did really an outstanding job!!

it's from 1961 so that's part of it :)
Hey, do you think your going to make a tutorial for same Gid soon?
Curious as to the reason for recording guitar and vocals separate? I like it!
Thanks!

Loving this song right now. Homecoming is a close second
@@worshiptutorials can this song be played without a capo?
Did you use an acoustic IR for this recording?
The acoustic was mic’d, not recorded direct. Typically you’d only use an IR when playing or recording direct.
