I’m an agnostic, but I was Christian for 13 years. This song brought tears to my eyes and brought back many memories from when I believed.
I share a similar journey. I was a believer for 14 years, and became agnostic in my early 30s. A couple of years ago, I picked up and read the Bible (Mark) for the first time, and I felt God's presence showing me he was there (and had always been there) through the tragedies and frustrations of my life. He showed me that a cushy, adversity-free life is not guaranteed, even for the most devout believer, but that struggle has always been used to make me tougher against the forces that wish me harm.
I hope you hear me when I say Jesus absolutely adores you! His heart breaks when yours does, and he wants you to seek him out. As wild as it all sounds, ask God for wisdom and clarity as to his TRUE nature, and be amazed. This song was very appropriately named! Apologies for the unsolicited advice. Hey Brian, where do you set the mic volume on the SL pickup? All the way up or do you back it off a bit?
Anyone know if you can run the acoustic IR’s thru a computer or phone? Or does it have to run thru something like an hx product?
The acoustic IR’s are standard WAV IR files, so they’ll work in any hardware or software that loads IR files. We include all the common sample rate and lengths options.
Are you using Pads, the acoustic IR and vocals through the Helix?
The Pads were added in post - they are mp3 files, so Helix can't play them natively (although it can trigger them via midi if you have the right hardware/software). The IR was hosted in the Fractal FM9, but Helix can host it just as easily and it would sound the same. Vocals were recorded through a Warm Audio 273 preamp into the Apollo.
